CVE-2026-43119 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: annotate data-races around hdev->req_status __hci_cmd_sync_sk() sets hdev->req_status under hdev->req_lock: hdev->req_status = HCI_REQ_PEND; However, several other functions read or write hdev->req_status without holding any lock: - hci_send_cmd_sync() reads req_status in hci_cmd_work (workqueue) - hci_cmd_sync_complete() reads/writes from HCI event completion - hci_cmd_sync_cancel() / hci_cmd_sync_cancel_sync() read/write - hci_abort_conn() reads in connection abort path Since __hci_cmd_sync_sk() runs on hdev->req_workqueue while hci_send_cmd_sync() runs on hdev->workqueue, these are different workqueues that can execute concurrently on different CPUs. The plain C accesses constitute a data race. Add READ_ONCE()/WRITE_ONCE() annotations on all concurrent accesses to hdev->req_status to prevent potential compiler optimizations that could affect correctness (e.g., load fusing in the wait_event condition or store reordering).
CVE-2026-31703 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: writeback: Fix use after free in inode_switch_wbs_work_fn() inode_switch_wbs_work_fn() has a loop like: wb_get(new_wb); while (1) { list = llist_del_all(&new_wb->switch_wbs_ctxs); /* Nothing to do? */ if (!list) break; ... process the items ... } Now adding of items to the list looks like: wb_queue_isw() if (llist_add(&isw->list, &wb->switch_wbs_ctxs)) queue_work(isw_wq, &wb->switch_work); Because inode_switch_wbs_work_fn() loops when processing isw items, it can happen that wb->switch_work is pending while wb->switch_wbs_ctxs is empty. This is a problem because in that case wb can get freed (no isw items -> no wb reference) while the work is still pending causing use-after-free issues. We cannot just fix this by cancelling work when freeing wb because that could still trigger problematic 0 -> 1 transitions on wb refcount due to wb_get() in inode_switch_wbs_work_fn(). It could be all handled with more careful code but that seems unnecessarily complex so let's avoid that until it is proven that the looping actually brings practical benefit. Just remove the loop from inode_switch_wbs_work_fn() instead. That way when wb_queue_isw() queues work, we are guaranteed we have added the first item to wb->switch_wbs_ctxs and nobody is going to remove it (and drop the wb reference it holds) until the queued work runs.
CVE-2026-31610 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix mechToken leak when SPNEGO decode fails after token alloc The kernel ASN.1 BER decoder calls action callbacks incrementally as it walks the input. When ksmbd_decode_negTokenInit() reaches the mechToken [2] OCTET STRING element, ksmbd_neg_token_alloc() allocates conn->mechToken immediately via kmemdup_nul(). If a later element in the same blob is malformed, then the decoder will return nonzero after the allocation is already live. This could happen if mechListMIC [3] overrunse the enclosing SEQUENCE. decode_negotiation_token() then sets conn->use_spnego = false because both the negTokenInit and negTokenTarg grammars failed. The cleanup at the bottom of smb2_sess_setup() is gated on use_spnego: if (conn->use_spnego && conn->mechToken) { kfree(conn->mechToken); conn->mechToken = NULL; } so the kfree is skipped, causing the mechToken to never be freed. This codepath is reachable pre-authentication, so untrusted clients can cause slow memory leaks on a server without even being properly authenticated. Fix this up by not checking check for use_spnego, as it's not required, so the memory will always be properly freed. At the same time, always free the memory in ksmbd_conn_free() incase some other failure path forgot to free it.
CVE-2026-31502 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: team: fix header_ops type confusion with non-Ethernet ports Similar to commit 950803f72547 ("bonding: fix type confusion in bond_setup_by_slave()") team has the same class of header_ops type confusion. For non-Ethernet ports, team_setup_by_port() copies port_dev->header_ops directly. When the team device later calls dev_hard_header() or dev_parse_header(), these callbacks can run with the team net_device instead of the real lower device, so netdev_priv(dev) is interpreted as the wrong private type and can crash. The syzbot report shows a crash in bond_header_create(), but the root cause is in team: the topology is gre -> bond -> team, and team calls the inherited header_ops with its own net_device instead of the lower device, so bond_header_create() receives a team device and interprets netdev_priv() as bonding private data, causing a type confusion crash. Fix this by introducing team header_ops wrappers for create/parse, selecting a team port under RCU, and calling the lower device callbacks with port->dev, so each callback always sees the correct net_device context. Also pass the selected lower device to the lower parse callback, so recursion is bounded in stacked non-Ethernet topologies and parse callbacks always run with the correct device context.
CVE-2026-23451 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bonding: prevent potential infinite loop in bond_header_parse() bond_header_parse() can loop if a stack of two bonding devices is setup, because skb->dev always points to the hierarchy top. Add new "const struct net_device *dev" parameter to (struct header_ops)->parse() method to make sure the recursion is bounded, and that the final leaf parse method is called.
CVE-2025-71289 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: handle attr_set_size() errors when truncating files If attr_set_size() fails while truncating down, the error is silently ignored and the inode may be left in an inconsistent state.
CVE-2025-40196 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: quota: create dedicated workqueue for quota_release_work There is a kernel panic due to WARN_ONCE when panic_on_warn is set. This issue occurs when writeback is triggered due to sync call for an opened file(ie, writeback reason is WB_REASON_SYNC). When f2fs balance is needed at sync path, flush for quota_release_work is triggered. By default quota_release_work is queued to "events_unbound" queue which does not have WQ_MEM_RECLAIM flag. During f2fs balance "writeback" workqueue tries to flush quota_release_work causing kernel panic due to MEM_RECLAIM flag mismatch errors. This patch creates dedicated workqueue with WQ_MEM_RECLAIM flag for work quota_release_work. ------------[ cut here ]------------ WARNING: CPU: 4 PID: 14867 at kernel/workqueue.c:3721 check_flush_dependency+0x13c/0x148 Call trace: check_flush_dependency+0x13c/0x148 __flush_work+0xd0/0x398 flush_delayed_work+0x44/0x5c dquot_writeback_dquots+0x54/0x318 f2fs_do_quota_sync+0xb8/0x1a8 f2fs_write_checkpoint+0x3cc/0x99c f2fs_gc+0x190/0x750 f2fs_balance_fs+0x110/0x168 f2fs_write_single_data_page+0x474/0x7dc f2fs_write_data_pages+0x7d0/0xd0c do_writepages+0xe0/0x2f4 __writeback_single_inode+0x44/0x4ac writeback_sb_inodes+0x30c/0x538 wb_writeback+0xf4/0x440 wb_workfn+0x128/0x5d4 process_scheduled_works+0x1c4/0x45c worker_thread+0x32c/0x3e8 kthread+0x11c/0x1b0 ret_from_fork+0x10/0x20 Kernel panic - not syncing: kernel: panic_on_warn set ...

CVE-2026-65689 1 Bold Reports 1 Standalone Report Designer 2026-07-24 9.8 Critical
Bold Reports Standalone Report Designer before 14.1.12 contains a missing filepath validation vulnerability in its database download feature that allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem by supplying a crafted request. Attackers can exploit this path traversal weakness to disclose sensitive server files, including authentication credentials, enabling full unauthorized access to the application. The vulnerability is specific to the DataHub module, which was introduced in Bold Reports 6.3. Therefore, versions prior to 6.3 are not affected.

CVE-2025-38349 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: eventpoll: don't decrement ep refcount while still holding the ep mutex Jann Horn points out that epoll is decrementing the ep refcount and then doing a mutex_unlock(&ep->mtx); afterwards. That's very wrong, because it can lead to a use-after-free. That pattern is actually fine for the very last reference, because the code in question will delay the actual call to "ep_free(ep)" until after it has unlocked the mutex. But it's wrong for the much subtler "next to last" case when somebody *else* may also be dropping their reference and free the ep while we're still using the mutex. Note that this is true even if that other user is also using the same ep mutex: mutexes, unlike spinlocks, can not be used for object ownership, even if they guarantee mutual exclusion. A mutex "unlock" operation is not atomic, and as one user is still accessing the mutex as part of unlocking it, another user can come in and get the now released mutex and free the data structure while the first user is still cleaning up. See our mutex documentation in Documentation/locking/mutex-design.rst, in particular the section [1] about semantics: "mutex_unlock() may access the mutex structure even after it has internally released the lock already - so it's not safe for another context to acquire the mutex and assume that the mutex_unlock() context is not using the structure anymore" So if we drop our ep ref before the mutex unlock, but we weren't the last one, we may then unlock the mutex, another user comes in, drops _their_ reference and releases the 'ep' as it now has no users - all while the mutex_unlock() is still accessing it. Fix this by simply moving the ep refcount dropping to outside the mutex: the refcount itself is atomic, and doesn't need mutex protection (that's the whole _point_ of refcounts: unlike mutexes, they are inherently about object lifetimes).
CVE-2024-42133 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-07-24 5.5 Medium

CVE-2024-42132 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-07-24 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bluetooth/hci: disallow setting handle bigger than HCI_CONN_HANDLE_MAX Syzbot hit warning in hci_conn_del() caused by freeing handle that was not allocated using ida allocator. This is caused by handle bigger than HCI_CONN_HANDLE_MAX passed by hci_le_big_sync_established_evt(), which makes code think it's unset connection. Add same check for handle upper bound as in hci_conn_set_handle() to prevent warning.
CVE-2024-36013 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-07-24 6.8 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix slab-use-after-free in l2cap_connect() Extend a critical section to prevent chan from early freeing. Also make the l2cap_connect() return type void. Nothing is using the returned value but it is ugly to return a potentially freed pointer. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: remove one synchronize_net() barrier in ipv6_mc_down() As discussed in the past (commit 2d3916f31891 ("ipv6: fix skb drops in igmp6_event_query() and igmp6_event_report()")) I think the synchronize_net() call in ipv6_mc_down() is not needed. Under load, synchronize_net() can last between 200 usec and 5 ms. KASAN seems to agree as well.
CVE-2024-27012 3 Fedoraproject, Linux, Redhat 4 Fedora, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-07-24 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: restore set elements when delete set fails From abort path, nft_mapelem_activate() needs to restore refcounters to the original state. Currently, it uses the set->ops->walk() to iterate over these set elements. The existing set iterator skips inactive elements in the next generation, this does not work from the abort path to restore the original state since it has to skip active elements instead (not inactive ones). This patch moves the check for inactive elements to the set iterator callback, then it reverses the logic for the .activate case which needs to skip active elements. Toggle next generation bit for elements when delete set command is invoked and call nft_clear() from .activate (abort) path to restore the next generation bit. CVE-2023-52494 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bus: mhi: host: Add alignment check for event ring read pointer Though we do check the event ring read pointer by "is_valid_ring_ptr" to make sure it is in the buffer range, but there is another risk the pointer may be not aligned. Since we are expecting event ring elements are 128 bits(struct mhi_ring_element) aligned, an unaligned read pointer could lead to multiple issues like DoS or ring buffer memory corruption. So add a alignment check for event ring read pointer.
