CVE-2024-26637 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: rely on mac80211 debugfs handling for vif mac80211 started to delete debugfs entries in certain cases, causing a ath11k to crash when it tried to delete the entries later. Fix this by relying on mac80211 to delete the entries when appropriate and adding them from the vif_add_debugfs handler.
CVE-2024-26632 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: Fix iterating over an empty bio with bio_for_each_folio_all If the bio contains no data, bio_first_folio() calls page_folio() on a NULL pointer and oopses. Move the test that we've reached the end of the bio from bio_next_folio() to bio_first_folio(). [axboe: add unlikely() to error case]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: fix data-race in ipv6_mc_down / mld_ifc_work idev->mc_ifc_count can be written over without proper locking. Originally found by syzbot [1], fix this issue by encapsulating calls to mld_ifc_stop_work() (and mld_gq_stop_work() for good measure) with mutex_lock() and mutex_unlock() accordingly as these functions should only be called with mc_lock per their declarations. CVE-2024-26623 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pds_core: Prevent race issues involving the adminq There are multiple paths that can result in using the pdsc's adminq. [1] pdsc_adminq_isr and the resulting work from queue_work(), i.e. pdsc_work_thread()->pdsc_process_adminq() [2] pdsc_adminq_post() When the device goes through reset via PCIe reset and/or a fw_down/fw_up cycle due to bad PCIe state or bad device state the adminq is destroyed and recreated. A NULL pointer dereference can happen if [1] or [2] happens after the adminq is already destroyed. In order to fix this, add some further state checks and implement reference counting for adminq uses. Reference counting was used because multiple threads can attempt to access the adminq at the same time via [1] or [2]. Additionally, multiple clients (i.e. pds-vfio-pci) can be using [2] at the same time. The adminq_refcnt is initialized to 1 when the adminq has been allocated and is ready to use. Users/clients of the adminq (i.e. [1] and [2]) will increment the refcnt when they are using the adminq. When the driver goes into a fw_down cycle it will set the PDSC_S_FW_DEAD bit and then wait for the adminq_refcnt to hit 1. Setting the PDSC_S_FW_DEAD before waiting will prevent any further adminq_refcnt increments. Waiting for the adminq_refcnt to hit 1 allows for any current users of the adminq to finish before the driver frees the adminq. Once the adminq_refcnt hits 1 the driver clears the refcnt to signify that the adminq is deleted and cannot be used. On the fw_up cycle the driver will once again initialize the adminq_refcnt to 1 allowing the adminq to be used again.
CVE-2024-26621 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: huge_memory: don't force huge page alignment on 32 bit commit efa7df3e3bb5 ("mm: align larger anonymous mappings on THP boundaries") caused two issues [1] [2] reported on 32 bit system or compat userspace. It doesn't make too much sense to force huge page alignment on 32 bit system due to the constrained virtual address space. CVE-2024-26620 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio-ap: always filter entire AP matrix The vfio_ap_mdev_filter_matrix function is called whenever a new adapter or domain is assigned to the mdev. The purpose of the function is to update the guest's AP configuration by filtering the matrix of adapters and domains assigned to the mdev. When an adapter or domain is assigned, only the APQNs associated with the APID of the new adapter or APQI of the new domain are inspected. If an APQN does not reference a queue device bound to the vfio_ap device driver, then it's APID will be filtered from the mdev's matrix when updating the guest's AP configuration. Inspecting only the APID of the new adapter or APQI of the new domain will result in passing AP queues through to a guest that are not bound to the vfio_ap device driver under certain circumstances. Consider the following: guest's AP configuration (all also assigned to the mdev's matrix): 14.0004 14.0005 14.0006 16.0004 16.0005 16.0006 unassign domain 4 unbind queue 16.0005 assign domain 4 When domain 4 is re-assigned, since only domain 4 will be inspected, the APQNs that will be examined will be: 14.0004 16.0004 Since both of those APQNs reference queue devices that are bound to the vfio_ap device driver, nothing will get filtered from the mdev's matrix when updating the guest's AP configuration. Consequently, queue 16.0005 will get passed through despite not being bound to the driver. This violates the linux device model requirement that a guest shall only be given access to devices bound to the device driver facilitating their pass-through. To resolve this problem, every adapter and domain assigned to the mdev will be inspected when filtering the mdev's matrix.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/proc/task_mmu: move mmu notification mechanism inside mm lock Move mmu notification mechanism inside mm lock to prevent race condition in other components which depend on it. The notifier will invalidate memory range. Depending upon the number of iterations, different memory ranges would be invalidated. The following warning would be removed by this patch: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 5067 at arch/x86/kvm/../../../virt/kvm/kvm_main.c:734 kvm_mmu_notifier_change_pte+0x860/0x960 arch/x86/kvm/../../../virt/kvm/kvm_main.c:734 There is no behavioural and performance change with this patch when there is no component registered with the mmu notifier. [[email protected]: narrow the scope of `range', per Sean]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: regenerate buddy after block freeing failed if under fc replay This mostly reverts commit 6bd97bf273bd ("ext4: remove redundant mb_regenerate_buddy()") and reintroduces mb_regenerate_buddy(). Based on code in mb_free_blocks(), fast commit replay can end up marking as free blocks that are already marked as such. This causes corruption of the buddy bitmap so we need to regenerate it in that case.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: vgic-its: Avoid potential UAF in LPI translation cache There is a potential UAF scenario in the case of an LPI translation cache hit racing with an operation that invalidates the cache, such as a DISCARD ITS command. The root of the problem is that vgic_its_check_cache() does not elevate the refcount on the vgic_irq before dropping the lock that serializes refcount changes. Have vgic_its_check_cache() raise the refcount on the returned vgic_irq and add the corresponding decrement after queueing the interrupt.

CVE-2024-26586 2 Linux, Redhat 7 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mlxsw: spectrum_acl_tcam: Fix stack corruption When tc filters are first added to a net device, the corresponding local port gets bound to an ACL group in the device. The group contains a list of ACLs. In turn, each ACL points to a different TCAM region where the filters are stored. During forwarding, the ACLs are sequentially evaluated until a match is found. One reason to place filters in different regions is when they are added with decreasing priorities and in an alternating order so that two consecutive filters can never fit in the same region because of their key usage. In Spectrum-2 and newer ASICs the firmware started to report that the maximum number of ACLs in a group is more than 16, but the layout of the register that configures ACL groups (PAGT) was not updated to account for that. It is therefore possible to hit stack corruption [1] in the rare case where more than 16 ACLs in a group are required. Fix by limiting the maximum ACL group size to the minimum between what the firmware reports and the maximum ACLs that fit in the PAGT register. Add a test case to make sure the machine does not crash when this condition is hit. CVE-2023-54325 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - fix out-of-bounds read When preparing an AER-CTR request, the driver copies the key provided by the user into a data structure that is accessible by the firmware. If the target device is QAT GEN4, the key size is rounded up by 16 since a rounded up size is expected by the device. If the key size is rounded up before the copy, the size used for copying the key might be bigger than the size of the region containing the key, causing an out-of-bounds read. Fix by doing the copy first and then update the keylen. This is to fix the following warning reported by KASAN: [ 138.150574] BUG: KASAN: global-out-of-bounds in qat_alg_skcipher_init_com.isra.0+0x197/0x250 [intel_qat] [ 138.150641] Read of size 32 at addr ffffffff88c402c0 by task cryptomgr_test/2340 [ 138.150651] CPU: 15 PID: 2340 Comm: cryptomgr_test Not tainted 6.2.0-rc1+ #45 [ 138.150659] Hardware name: Intel Corporation ArcherCity/ArcherCity, BIOS EGSDCRB1.86B.0087.D13.2208261706 08/26/2022 [ 138.150663] Call Trace: [ 138.150668] <TASK> [ 138.150922] kasan_check_range+0x13a/0x1c0 [ 138.150931] memcpy+0x1f/0x60 [ 138.150940] qat_alg_skcipher_init_com.isra.0+0x197/0x250 [intel_qat] [ 138.151006] qat_alg_skcipher_init_sessions+0xc1/0x240 [intel_qat] [ 138.151073] crypto_skcipher_setkey+0x82/0x160 [ 138.151085] ? prepare_keybuf+0xa2/0xd0 [ 138.151095] test_skcipher_vec_cfg+0x2b8/0x800
CVE-2023-54318 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: use smc_lgr_list.lock to protect smc_lgr_list.list iterate in smcr_port_add While doing smcr_port_add, there maybe linkgroup add into or delete from smc_lgr_list.list at the same time, which may result kernel crash. So, use smc_lgr_list.lock to protect smc_lgr_list.list iterate in smcr_port_add. The crash calltrace show below: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000 PGD 0 P4D 0 Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP NOPTI CPU: 0 PID: 559726 Comm: kworker/0:92 Kdump: loaded Tainted: G Hardware name: Alibaba Cloud Alibaba Cloud ECS, BIOS 449e491 04/01/2014 Workqueue: events smc_ib_port_event_work [smc] RIP: 0010:smcr_port_add+0xa6/0xf0 [smc] RSP: 0000:ffffa5a2c8f67de0 EFLAGS: 00010297 RAX: 0000000000000001 RBX: ffff9935e0650000 RCX: 0000000000000000 RDX: 0000000000000010 RSI: ffff9935e0654290 RDI: ffff9935c8560000 RBP: 0000000000000000 R08: 0000000000000000 R09: ffff9934c0401918 R10: 0000000000000000 R11: ffffffffb4a5c278 R12: ffff99364029aae4 R13: ffff99364029aa00 R14: 00000000ffffffed R15: ffff99364029ab08 FS: 0000000000000000(0000) GS:ffff994380600000(0000) knlGS:0000000000000000 CS: 0010 DS: 0000 ES: 0000 CR0: 0000000080050033 CR2: 0000000000000000 CR3: 0000000f06a10003 CR4: 0000000002770ef0 PKRU: 55555554 Call Trace: smc_ib_port_event_work+0x18f/0x380 [smc] process_one_work+0x19b/0x340 worker_thread+0x30/0x370 ? process_one_work+0x340/0x340 kthread+0x114/0x130 ? __kthread_cancel_work+0x50/0x50 ret_from_fork+0x1f/0x30
CVE-2023-54317 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm flakey: don't corrupt the zero page When we need to zero some range on a block device, the function __blkdev_issue_zero_pages submits a write bio with the bio vector pointing to the zero page. If we use dm-flakey with corrupt bio writes option, it will corrupt the content of the zero page which results in crashes of various userspace programs. Glibc assumes that memory returned by mmap is zeroed and it uses it for calloc implementation; if the newly mapped memory is not zeroed, calloc will return non-zeroed memory. Fix this bug by testing if the page is equal to ZERO_PAGE(0) and avoiding the corruption in this case.
CVE-2023-54310 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: message: mptlan: Fix use after free bug in mptlan_remove() due to race condition mptlan_probe() calls mpt_register_lan_device() which initializes the &priv->post_buckets_task workqueue. A call to mpt_lan_wake_post_buckets_task() will subsequently start the work. During driver unload in mptlan_remove() the following race may occur: CPU0 CPU1 |mpt_lan_post_receive_buckets_work() mptlan_remove() | free_netdev() | kfree(dev); | | | dev->mtu | //use Fix this by finishing the work prior to cleaning up in mptlan_remove(). [mkp: we really should remove mptlan instead of attempting to fix it]
