CVE-2026-68106 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.0 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix division by zero with invalid uvd dimensions When width or height is less than 16, width_in_mb or height_in_mb becomes 0, leading to fs_in_mb being 0. This causes a division by zero when calculating num_dpb_buffer in H264 and H264 Perf decode paths. Add validation to reject frames with width < 16 or height < 16 before performing any calculations that depend on these values. V2: Format change - move up all vaiable definitions. V3: Use warn_once to avoid spam. (cherry picked from commit 3e41d26c70b0a459d041cc19482a226c4b7423cb)
CVE-2026-68165 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/core: validate ranges in damon_set_regions() DAMON core logic assumes zero length regions don't exist. However, a few DAMON API callers including DAMON_SYSFS, DAMON_RECLAIM and DAMON_LRU_SORT allow users to set empty monitoring target regions. This could result in WARN_ONCE() on CONFIG_DAMON_DEBUG_SANITY enabled kernel, and divide-by-zero from damon_merge_two_regions(). For example, the WANR_ONCE() can be triggered like below. # grep DAMON_DEBUG_SANITY /boot/config-$(uname -r) # CONFIG_DAMON_DEBUG_SANITY=y # damo start # cd /sys/kernel/mm/damon/admin/kdamonds/0 # echo 0 > contexts/0/targets/0/regions/0/start # echo 0 > contexts/0/targets/0/regions/0/end # echo commit > state # dmesg [....] [ 73.705780] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 73.707552] start 0 >= end 0 [ 73.708452] WARNING: mm/damon/core.c:359 at damon_new_region+0x6e/0x80, CPU#1: kdamond.0/758 [...] All DAMON API callers eventually use damon_set_regions() to setup the regions. Add the validation logic in the function.
CVE-2026-68164 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/core: disallow overlapping input ranges for damon_set_regions() damon_set_regions() assumes the input ranges are sorted by the address and don't overlap each other. Hence the assumption was initially to be explicitly validated. But commit 97d482f4592f ("mm/damon/sysfs: reuse damon_set_regions() for regions setting") has mistakenly removed the validation. This can make DAMON behave in unexpected ways. At the best, the monitoring results snapshot will just look weird since there will be overlapping regions. DAMOS will also work weirdly, applying the same action multiple times for overlapping regions, and make DAMOS quota weird. More seriously, depending on the setup and regions updates sequence, negative size regions can be made. It will trigger WARN_ONCE() if the kernel is built with CONFIG_DAMON_DEBUG_SANITY=y. Depending on the monitoring results, the negative size region can further trigger division by zero in damon_merge_two_regions(). Note that some of the consequences including the WARN_ONCE() and the divide by zero depend on commits that were introduced after the root cause commit 97d482f4592f ("mm/damon/sysfs: reuse damon_set_regions() for regions setting"). Fix the problems by checking the assumption and returning an error if the input ranges don't meet the assumption. The issue was discovered [1] by Sashiko.
CVE-2026-68254 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/vrr: require valid min/max vfreq for VRR Ensure the EDID provided min/max vfreq are valid. Most scenarios are already covered (by coincidence) through the checks in intel_vrr_is_capable() and intel_vrr_is_in_range(), but be more explicit about it. At worst, a zero min_vfreq could lead to a division by zero in intel_vrr_compute_vmax(). Discovered using AI-assisted static analysis confirmed by Intel Product Security. CVE-2026-7007 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-08-12 4.6 Medium
The Zephyr ext2 file system validates the on-disk superblock in ext2_verify_disk_superblock() (subsys/fs/ext2/ext2_impl.c) before completing a mount. The validator checked the magic number, block size, revision and feature flags, but did not verify that the on-disk fields s_blocks_per_group and s_inodes_per_group are non-zero. Both fields are read directly from the image and are later used as divisors during mount-time initialization. During mount, get_ngroups() divides and modulos s_blocks_count by s_blocks_per_group (reached via ext2_fetch_block_group() from ext2_init_fs()), and get_itable_entry() divides (ino - 1) by s_inodes_per_group when fetching the root inode (both in subsys/fs/ext2/ext2_diskops.c). A superblock with either field set to zero therefore causes an integer division by zero during the mount sequence. An attacker who can present a crafted ext2 image to a device that mounts ext2 — removable media such as an SD card or a USB mass-storage device — can trigger this. On ARMv7-M / ARMv8-M-mainline Cortex-M targets, divide-by-zero trapping is enabled (SCB_CCR_DIV_0_TRP), so the division raises a UsageFault that Zephyr treats as a fatal error, producing a denial of service. The impact is limited to availability; the malformed value is consumed only as a divisor. The fix rejects a zero s_blocks_per_group or s_inodes_per_group in the superblock validator, returning -EINVAL so the mount fails before any block-group or inode I/O occurs.
CVE-2026-64236 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-12 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: davinci: fix division by zero on missing clock-frequency When the 'clock-frequency' property is missing from the device tree, the driver falls back to DAVINCI_I2C_DEFAULT_BUS_FREQ. However, this macro was defined in kHz (100), whereas the device tree property is expected in Hz. The probe function divided the fallback value by 1000, causing integer truncation that resulted in dev->bus_freq = 0. This triggered a deterministic division-by-zero kernel panic when calculating clock dividers later in the probe sequence. Fix this by redefining DAVINCI_I2C_DEFAULT_BUS_FREQ in Hz (100000) to match the expected device tree property unit, allowing the existing division logic to work correctly for both cases.
CVE-2026-64951 1 Rapid7 1 Velociraptor 2026-08-12 3.5 Low
A rogue Velociraptor client can upload a malformed sparse file such that if the GUI attempts to expand the file, a panic occurs which may crash the server process. The problem is a Divide by Zero bug in the ShouldPadFile() function.
CVE-2026-17535 1 Rapid7 1 Velociraptor 2026-08-11 6.2 Medium
Velociraptor's NTFS parsing library mishandles several out of bound and memory exhaustion bugs which may be triggered by maliciously crafted NTFS images. Typically Velociraptor's NTFS parser is used on live NTFS filesystems, limiting the opportunity of attackers corrupting the filesystem. However, in some applications (e.g.  dead disk forensics https://docs.velociraptor.app/docs/forensic/deaddisk/ ) Velociraptor may be used on untrusted NTFS image files.  If an attacker is able to inject maliciously corrupted NTFS Volumes they can cause a crash and a Denial of Service.
CVE-2026-68356 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-11 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watchdog: airoha: Prevent division by zero when clock frequency is zero clk_get_rate() can return 0 when the clock provider is not properly configured or the clock is unmanaged. The driver uses wdt_freq as a divisor directly in airoha_wdt_probe() to compute max_timeout and in airoha_wdt_get_timeleft() to compute the remaining time, which results in a division by zero. Add a check for wdt_freq == 0 in probe and return -EINVAL with dev_err_probe() to prevent the division by zero and provide a diagnostic message.
CVE-2026-68297 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-10 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: fix u16 MTU truncation in media and bearer MTU validation Both TIPC_NL_MEDIA_SET and TIPC_NL_BEARER_SET accept user-supplied MTU values but only enforce a minimum bound, not a maximum. When a user sets the MTU to a value exceeding U16_MAX (65535), it passes validation but is silently truncated when assigned to u16 fields l->mtu and l->advertised_mtu in tipc_link_create(). Values like 65536 (0x10000) truncate to 0, causing a division by zero in tipc_link_set_queue_limits() which computes TIPC_MAX_PUBL / (l->mtu / ITEM_SIZE). Other overflowing values (e.g. 65537-131071) produce small incorrect MTU values, resulting in link malfunction behaviors. Crash stack (triggered as unprivileged user via user namespace): tipc_link_set_queue_limits net/tipc/link.c:2531 tipc_link_create net/tipc/link.c:520 tipc_node_check_dest net/tipc/node.c:1279 tipc_disc_rcv net/tipc/discover.c:252 tipc_rcv net/tipc/node.c:2129 tipc_udp_recv net/tipc/udp_media.c:392 Two independent paths lack the upper bound check: 1. tipc_udp_mtu_bad() -- called from __tipc_nl_media_set() (MEDIA_SET) 2. inline check in __tipc_nl_bearer_set() at bearer.c:1160 (BEARER_SET) Fix both by rejecting MTU values above U16_MAX.
CVE-2026-19025 1 Hdfgroup 1 Hdf5 2026-08-07 N/A
H5O__layout_decode in H5Olayout.c in HDF5 through 2.3.0 does not validate that a chunked dataset's stored chunk-layout dimensionality matches its dataspace rank when an existing dataset is opened, whereas this check is performed only at dataset-creation time. This allows attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero and application crash in H5S__hyper_iter_get_seq_list in src/H5Shyper.c) via a crafted HDF5 file with mismatched chunk/dataspace ranks that is opened and read via H5Dopen2 and H5Dread, e.g. by the h5repack tool.
CVE-2024-57932 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gve: guard XDP xmit NDO on existence of xdp queues In GVE, dedicated XDP queues only exist when an XDP program is installed and the interface is up. As such, the NDO XDP XMIT callback should return early if either of these conditions are false. In the case of no loaded XDP program, priv->num_xdp_queues=0 which can cause a divide-by-zero error, and in the case of interface down, num_xdp_queues remains untouched to persist XDP queue count for the next interface up, but the TX pointer itself would be NULL. The XDP xmit callback also needs to synchronize with a device transitioning from open to close. This synchronization will happen via the GVE_PRIV_FLAGS_NAPI_ENABLED bit along with a synchronize_net() call, which waits for any RCU critical sections at call-time to complete.
CVE-2024-53122 2 Linux, Redhat 6 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more 2026-08-04 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: cope racing subflow creation in mptcp_rcv_space_adjust Additional active subflows - i.e. created by the in kernel path manager - are included into the subflow list before starting the 3whs. A racing recvmsg() spooling data received on an already established subflow would unconditionally call tcp_cleanup_rbuf() on all the current subflows, potentially hitting a divide by zero error on the newly created ones. Explicitly check that the subflow is in a suitable state before invoking tcp_cleanup_rbuf().
CVE-2024-36968 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-04 7.6 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix div-by-zero in l2cap_le_flowctl_init() l2cap_le_flowctl_init() can cause both div-by-zero and an integer overflow since hdev->le_mtu may not fall in the valid range. Move MTU from hci_dev to hci_conn to validate MTU and stop the connection process earlier if MTU is invalid. Also, add a missing validation in read_buffer_size() and make it return an error value if the validation fails. Now hci_conn_add() returns ERR_PTR() as it can fail due to the both a kzalloc failure and invalid MTU value. divide error: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN NOPTI CPU: 0 PID: 67 Comm: kworker/u5:0 Tainted: G W 6.9.0-rc5+ #20 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS 1.15.0-1 04/01/2014 Workqueue: hci0 hci_rx_work RIP: 0010:l2cap_le_flowctl_init+0x19e/0x3f0 net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c:547 Code: e8 17 17 0c 00 66 41 89 9f 84 00 00 00 bf 01 00 00 00 41 b8 02 00 00 00 4c 89 fe 4c 89 e2 89 d9 e8 27 17 0c 00 44 89 f0 31 d2 <66> f7 f3 89 c3 ff c3 4d 8d b7 88 00 00 00 4c 89 f0 48 c1 e8 03 42 RSP: 0018:ffff88810bc0f858 EFLAGS: 00010246 RAX: 00000000000002a0 RBX: 0000000000000000 RCX: dffffc0000000000 RDX: 0000000000000000 RSI: ffff88810bc0f7c0 RDI: ffffc90002dcb66f RBP: ffff88810bc0f880 R08: aa69db2dda70ff01 R09: 0000ffaaaaaaaaaa R10: 0084000000ffaaaa R11: 0000000000000000 R12: ffff88810d65a084 R13: dffffc0000000000 R14: 00000000000002a0 R15: ffff88810d65a000 FS: 0000000000000000(0000) GS:ffff88811ac00000(0000) knlGS:0000000000000000 CS: 0010 DS: 0000 ES: 0000 CR0: 0000000080050033 CR2: 0000000020000100 CR3: 0000000103268003 CR4: 0000000000770ef0 PKRU: 55555554 Call Trace: <TASK> l2cap_le_connect_req net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c:4902 [inline] l2cap_le_sig_cmd net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c:5420 [inline] l2cap_le_sig_channel net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c:5486 [inline] l2cap_recv_frame+0xe59d/0x11710 net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c:6809 l2cap_recv_acldata+0x544/0x10a0 net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c:7506 hci_acldata_packet net/bluetooth/hci_core.c:3939 [inline] hci_rx_work+0x5e5/0xb20 net/bluetooth/hci_core.c:4176 process_one_work kernel/workqueue.c:3254 [inline] process_scheduled_works+0x90f/0x1530 kernel/workqueue.c:3335 worker_thread+0x926/0xe70 kernel/workqueue.c:3416 kthread+0x2e3/0x380 kernel/kthread.c:388 ret_from_fork+0x5c/0x90 arch/x86/kernel/process.c:147 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 arch/x86/entry/entry_64.S:244 </TASK> Modules linked in: ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]---

CVE-2022-49330 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-04 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix tcp_mtup_probe_success vs wrong snd_cwnd syzbot got a new report [1] finally pointing to a very old bug, added in initial support for MTU probing. tcp_mtu_probe() has checks about starting an MTU probe if tcp_snd_cwnd(tp) >= 11. But nothing prevents tcp_snd_cwnd(tp) to be reduced later and before the MTU probe succeeds. This bug would lead to potential zero-divides. Debugging added in commit 40570375356c ("tcp: add accessors to read/set tp->snd_cwnd") has paid off :) While we are at it, address potential overflows in this code. CVE-2026-64275 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: elan_i2c - prevent division by zero and arithmetic underflow The Elan I2C touchpad driver queries the device for its physical dimensions and trace counts to calculate the device resolution and width. However, if the device firmware or device tree provides invalid zero values for x_traces or y_traces, it results in a fatal division-by-zero exception leading to a kernel panic during device probe. Add checks to ensure these parameters are non-zero before performing the division. If invalid trace values are detected, fall back to a safe default of 1. Additionally, prevent an arithmetic underflow in the touch reporting logic. Previously, if the calculated or fallback width was smaller than ETP_FWIDTH_REDUCE (90), the subtraction would underflow, resulting in a massive unsigned integer being reported to userspace. Clamp the adjusted width to a minimum of 0 to safely handle small physical dimensions and fallback scenarios. Completing the probe with safe fallback values ensures the sysfs nodes are created, keeping the firmware update path intact so a recovery firmware can be flashed to the device.
CVE-2026-67302 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-08-03 4.3 Medium
FreeRDP before 3.29.0 (affected versions <= 3.28.0) contains a divide-by-zero vulnerability in the rdpecam camera redirection client. ecam_dev_process_start_streams_request() parses a server-controlled CAM_MEDIA_TYPE_DESCRIPTION from a StartStreamsRequest PDU but validates only Format and Flags, not FrameRateDenominator. When a malicious or compromised RDP server sends a StartStreamsRequest with FrameRateDenominator set to zero, ecam_encoder_context_init() (channels/rdpecam/client/encoding.c) computes FrameRateNumerator / FrameRateDenominator, causing an integer division by zero (SIGFPE) and termination of the FreeRDP client process. Camera redirection must be enabled on the client for the channel to be reachable. Fixed in FreeRDP 3.29.0.
CVE-2026-53503 1 Thumbor 1 Thumbor 2026-08-02 7.5 High
Thumbor is an open-source photo thumbnail service by globo.com. Prior to 7.8.0, Thumbor's filters:convolution(<matrix>, <columns>, <should_normalize>) filter passes the user-controlled <columns> value to a C extension (thumbor/ext/filters/_convolution.c) where it is used as a divisor (for % and /) without validating columns > 0. When columns=0, the C code triggers undefined behavior; on x86_64 this reliably results in a fatal divide-by-zero trap (SIGFPE) and crashes the Thumbor process, causing a remote denial of service. This issue is fixed in 7.8.0.
CVE-2026-36911 1 Aleksoid1978 1 Mpc-be 2026-08-02 5.5 Medium
A division-by-zero vulnerability in the CStreamSwitcherOutputPin::DecideBufferSize function of Aleksoid1978 MPC-BE before commit 4341cb3 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted MP4 file.
