CVE-2024-41149 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: avoid to reuse `hctx` not removed from cpuhp callback list If the 'hctx' isn't removed from cpuhp callback list, we can't reuse it, otherwise use-after-free may be triggered.
CVE-2026-43196 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc: ti: pruss: Fix double free in pruss_clk_mux_setup() In the pruss_clk_mux_setup(), the devm_add_action_or_reset() indirectly calls pruss_of_free_clk_provider(), which calls of_node_put(clk_mux_np) on the error path. However, after the devm_add_action_or_reset() returns, the of_node_put(clk_mux_np) is called again, causing a double free. Fix by returning directly, to avoid the duplicate of_node_put().
CVE-2026-43203 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: atm: fore200e: fix use-after-free in tasklets during device removal When the PCA-200E or SBA-200E adapter is being detached, the fore200e is deallocated. However, the tx_tasklet or rx_tasklet may still be running or pending, leading to use-after-free bug when the already freed fore200e is accessed again in fore200e_tx_tasklet() or fore200e_rx_tasklet(). One of the race conditions can occur as follows: CPU 0 (cleanup) | CPU 1 (tasklet) fore200e_pca_remove_one() | fore200e_interrupt() fore200e_shutdown() | tasklet_schedule() kfree(fore200e) | fore200e_tx_tasklet() | fore200e-> // UAF Fix this by ensuring tx_tasklet or rx_tasklet is properly canceled before the fore200e is released. Add tasklet_kill() in fore200e_shutdown() to synchronize with any pending or running tasklets. Moreover, since fore200e_reset() could prevent further interrupts or data transfers, the tasklet_kill() should be placed after fore200e_reset() to prevent the tasklet from being rescheduled in fore200e_interrupt(). Finally, it only needs to do tasklet_kill() when the fore200e state is greater than or equal to FORE200E_STATE_IRQ, since tasklets are uninitialized in earlier states. In a word, the tasklet_kill() should be placed in the FORE200E_STATE_IRQ branch within the switch...case structure. This bug was identified through static analysis.
CVE-2023-53626 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix possible double unlock when moving a directory
CVE-2023-53459 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: mcp-2221: prevent UAF in delayed work If the device is plugged/unplugged without giving time for mcp_init_work() to complete, we might kick in the devm free code path and thus have unavailable struct mcp_2221 while in delayed work. Canceling the delayed_work item is enough to solve the issue, because cancel_delayed_work_sync will prevent the work item to requeue itself.
CVE-2023-53446 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI/ASPM: Disable ASPM on MFD function removal to avoid use-after-free Struct pcie_link_state->downstream is a pointer to the pci_dev of function 0. Previously we retained that pointer when removing function 0, and subsequent ASPM policy changes dereferenced it, resulting in a use-after-free warning from KASAN, e.g.: # echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:03:00.0/remove # echo powersave > /sys/module/pcie_aspm/parameters/policy BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in pcie_config_aspm_link+0x42d/0x500 Call Trace: kasan_report+0xae/0xe0 pcie_config_aspm_link+0x42d/0x500 pcie_aspm_set_policy+0x8e/0x1a0 param_attr_store+0x162/0x2c0 module_attr_store+0x3e/0x80 PCIe spec r6.0, sec 7.5.3.7, recommends that software program the same ASPM Control value in all functions of multi-function devices. Disable ASPM and free the pcie_link_state when any child function is removed so we can discard the dangling pcie_link_state->downstream pointer and maintain the same ASPM Control configuration for all functions. CVE-2026-43215 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: Fix locking usage for tcon fields We used to use the cifs_tcp_ses_lock to protect a lot of objects that are not just the server, ses or tcon lists. We later introduced srv_lock, ses_lock and tc_lock to protect fields within the corresponding structs. This was done to provide a more granular protection and avoid unnecessary serialization. There were still a couple of uses of cifs_tcp_ses_lock to provide tcon fields. In this patch, I've replaced them with tc_lock.

The issue turns out to be in pci_remove_root_bus() which first calls pci_remove_bus() which frees the struct pci_bus when its struct device is released. Then pci_bus_release_domain_nr() is called and accesses the freed struct pci_bus. Reordering these fixes the issue.
CVE-2022-50329 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block, bfq: fix uaf for bfqq in bfq_exit_icq_bfqq Commit 64dc8c732f5c ("block, bfq: fix possible uaf for 'bfqq->bic'") will access 'bic->bfqq' in bic_set_bfqq(), however, bfq_exit_icq_bfqq() can free bfqq first, and then call bic_set_bfqq(), which will cause uaf. Fix the problem by moving bfq_exit_bfqq() behind bic_set_bfqq().
CVE-2022-49410 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix potential double free in create_var_ref() In create_var_ref(), init_var_ref() is called to initialize the fields of variable ref_field, which is allocated in the previous function call to create_hist_field(). Function init_var_ref() allocates the corresponding fields such as ref_field->system, but frees these fields when the function encounters an error. The caller later calls destroy_hist_field() to conduct error handling, which frees the fields and the variable itself. This results in double free of the fields which are already freed in the previous function. Fix this by storing NULL to the corresponding fields when they are freed in init_var_ref().

CVE-2026-43253 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/amd: move wait_on_sem() out of spinlock With iommu.strict=1, the existing completion wait path can cause soft lockups under stressed environment, as wait_on_sem() busy-waits under the spinlock with interrupts disabled. Move the completion wait in iommu_completion_wait() out of the spinlock. wait_on_sem() only polls the hardware-updated cmd_sem and does not require iommu->lock, so holding the lock during the busy wait unnecessarily increases contention and extends the time with interrupts disabled.
CVE-2026-31769 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpib: fix use-after-free in IO ioctl handlers The IBRD, IBWRT, IBCMD, and IBWAIT ioctl handlers use a gpib_descriptor pointer after board->big_gpib_mutex has been released. A concurrent IBCLOSEDEV ioctl can free the descriptor via close_dev_ioctl() during this window, causing a use-after-free. The IO handlers (read_ioctl, write_ioctl, command_ioctl) explicitly release big_gpib_mutex before calling their handler. wait_ioctl() is called with big_gpib_mutex held, but ibwait() releases it internally when wait_mask is non-zero. In all four cases, the descriptor pointer obtained from handle_to_descriptor() becomes unprotected. Fix this by introducing a kernel-only descriptor_busy reference count in struct gpib_descriptor. Each handler atomically increments descriptor_busy under file_priv->descriptors_mutex before releasing the lock, and decrements it when done. close_dev_ioctl() checks descriptor_busy under the same lock and rejects the close with -EBUSY if the count is non-zero. A reference count rather than a simple flag is necessary because multiple handlers can operate on the same descriptor concurrently (e.g. IBRD and IBWAIT on the same handle from different threads). A separate counter is needed because io_in_progress can be cleared from unprivileged userspace via the IBWAIT ioctl (through general_ibstatus() with set_mask containing CMPL), which would allow an attacker to bypass a check based solely on io_in_progress. The new descriptor_busy counter is only modified by the kernel IO paths. The lock ordering is consistent (big_gpib_mutex -> descriptors_mutex) and the handlers only hold descriptors_mutex briefly during the lookup, so there is no deadlock risk and no impact on IO throughput.
CVE-2026-43249 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p/xen: protect xen_9pfs_front_free against concurrent calls The xenwatch thread can race with other back-end change notifications and call xen_9pfs_front_free() twice, hitting the observed general protection fault due to a double-free. Guard the teardown path so only one caller can release the front-end state at a time, preventing the crash. CVE-2026-43260 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix RSS context delete logic We need to free the corresponding RSS context VNIC in FW everytime an RSS context is deleted in driver. Commit 667ac333dbb7 added a check to delete the VNIC in FW only when netif_running() is true to help delete RSS contexts with interface down. Having that condition will make the driver leak VNICs in FW whenever close() happens with active RSS contexts. On the subsequent open(), as part of RSS context restoration, we will end up trying to create extra VNICs for which we did not make any reservation. FW can fail this request, thereby making us lose active RSS contexts. Suppose an RSS context is deleted already and we try to process a delete request again, then the HWRM functions will check for validity of the request and they simply return if the resource is already freed. So, even for delete-when-down cases, netif_running() check is not necessary. Remove the netif_running() condition check when deleting an RSS context.
CVE-2026-8090 1 Mozilla 2 Firefox, Thunderbird 2026-05-08 7.3 High
Use-after-free in the DOM: Networking component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 150.0.2, Firefox ESR 140.10.2, Firefox ESR 115.35.2, Thunderbird 150.0.2, and Thunderbird 140.10.2.
CVE-2026-43278 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm: clear cloned request bio pointer when last clone bio completes Stale rq->bio values have been observed to cause double-initialization of cloned bios in request-based device-mapper targets, leading to use-after-free and double-free scenarios. One such case occurs when using dm-multipath on top of a PCIe NVMe namespace, where cloned request bios are freed during blk_complete_request(), but rq->bio is left intact. Subsequent clone teardown then attempts to free the same bios again via blk_rq_unprep_clone(). The resulting double-free path looks like: nvme_pci_complete_batch() nvme_complete_batch() blk_mq_end_request_batch() blk_complete_request() // called on a DM clone request bio_endio() // first free of all clone bios ... rq->end_io() // end_clone_request() dm_complete_request(tio->orig) dm_softirq_done() dm_done() dm_end_request() blk_rq_unprep_clone() // second free of clone bios Fix this by clearing the clone request's bio pointer when the last cloned bio completes, ensuring that later teardown paths do not attempt to free already-released bios.
CVE-2026-43276 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mana: Fix double destroy_workqueue on service rescan PCI path While testing corner cases in the driver, a use-after-free crash was found on the service rescan PCI path. When mana_serv_reset() calls mana_gd_suspend(), mana_gd_cleanup() destroys gc->service_wq. If the subsequent mana_gd_resume() fails with -ETIMEDOUT or -EPROTO, the code falls through to mana_serv_rescan() which triggers pci_stop_and_remove_bus_device(). This invokes the PCI .remove callback (mana_gd_remove), which calls mana_gd_cleanup() a second time, attempting to destroy the already- freed workqueue. Fix this by NULL-checking gc->service_wq in mana_gd_cleanup() and setting it to NULL after destruction. CVE-2026-43027 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_helper: pass helper to expect cleanup nf_conntrack_helper_unregister() calls nf_ct_expect_iterate_destroy() to remove expectations belonging to the helper being unregistered. However, it passes NULL instead of the helper pointer as the data argument, so expect_iter_me() never matches any expectation and all of them survive the cleanup. After unregister returns, nfnl_cthelper_del() frees the helper object immediately. Subsequent expectation dumps or packet-driven init_conntrack() calls then dereference the freed exp->helper, causing a use-after-free. Pass the actual helper pointer so expectations referencing it are properly destroyed before the helper object is freed.
