CVSS v3.1 |
| A weakness has been identified in UltraVNC 1.6.4.0 on Windows. This affects an unknown function in the library cryptbase.dll of the component Windows Service. This manipulation causes uncontrolled search path. The attack requires local access. A high degree of complexity is needed for the attack. The exploitability is reported as difficult. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| The installer for Qsee Client versions 1.0.1 and prior insecurely load Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs). When a user is directed to place some malicious DLL to the same directory and execute the affected installer, then arbitrary code may be executed with the administrative privilege. |
| SAP GUI for Windows allows DLL files to be loaded from arbitrary directories within the application. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a victim to place a malicious DLL within one of these directories. The malicious command is executed in the victim user's context provided GuiXT is enabled. This vulnerability has a low impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. |
| IBM Trusteer Rapport installer 3.5.2309.290 IBM Trusteer Rapport could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by DLL uncontrolled search path element vulnerability. By placing a specially crafted file in a compromised folder, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system. |
| Opera 7.54 and earlier on Gentoo Linux uses an insecure path for plugins, which could allow local users to gain privileges by inserting malicious libraries into the PORTAGE_TMPDIR (portage) temporary directory. |
| NoMachine Uncontrolled Search Path Element Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of NoMachine. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the NoMachine Device Server. The product loads a library from an unsecured location. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-28494. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in SINEC NMS (All versions < V4.0 SP3), User Management Component (UMC) (All versions < V2.15.2.1). The affected application permits improper modification of a configuration file by a low-privileged user.
This could allow an attacker to load malicious DLLs, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution with SYSTEM privileges.(ZDI-CAN-28108) |
| A vulnerability was identified in Unidocs ezPDF DRM Reader and ezPDF Reader 2.0/3.0.0.4. This affects an unknown part in the library SHFOLDER.dll. Such manipulation leads to uncontrolled search path. The attack needs to be performed locally. Attacks of this nature are highly complex. It is indicated that the exploitability is difficult. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. Upgrading the affected component is recommended. The vendor explains: "[W]e have already addressed similar DLL search path vulnerability patterns through prior security updates. (...) Users are advised to use the latest version provided by the vendor." |
| The application's update service, when checking for updates, loads certain system libraries from a search path that includes directories writable by low‑privileged users and is not strictly restricted to trusted system locations. Because these libraries may be resolved and loaded from user‑writable locations, a local attacker can place a malicious library there and have it loaded with SYSTEM privileges, resulting in local privilege escalation and arbitrary code execution. |
| Insecure Loading of Dynamic Link Libraries have been discovered in USB-CONVERTERCABLE DRIVER, which could allow local attackers to potentially disclose information or execute arbitray code on affected systems.
This issue affects USB-CONVERTERCABLE DRIVER:. |
| A DLL hijacking vulnerability in Doc Nav could allow a local attacker to achieve privilege escalation, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution. |
| The Auto-update service for Okta Verify for Windows is vulnerable to two flaws which in combination could be used to execute arbitrary code. |
| DLL Hijacking vulnerability in Trimble SketchUp desktop 2025 via crafted libcef.dll used by sketchup_webhelper.exe. |
| Uncontrolled search path element for some Intel(R) Ethernet Connection software before version 29.4 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
| Uncontrolled search path for some Intel(R) RealSense™ SDK software before version 2.56.2 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
| Uncontrolled search path element for some Intel(R) Network Adapter Driver installers for Windows 11 before version 29.4 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
| An uncontrolled search path element vulnerability can lead to local privilege Escalation (LPE) via Insecure Directory Permissions. The vulnerability arises from improper handling of directory permissions. An attacker with local access may exploit this flaw to move and delete arbitrary files, potentially gaining SYSTEM privileges. |
| EasyRange Ver 1.41 contains an issue with the executable file search path when displaying an extracted file on Explorer, which may lead to loading an executable file resides in the same folder where the extracted file is placed. If this vulnerability is exploited, arbitrary code may be executed with the privilege of the running program. Note that the developer was unreachable, therefore, users should consider stop using EasyRange Ver 1.41.

| Uncontrolled search path for some Intel(R) Graphics Driver software may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
| Uncontrolled search path for some Intel(R) oneAPI Math Kernel Library software for Windows before version 2024.2 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
