CVSS v3.1 |
| Firefox before 1.0.4 and Mozilla Suite before 1.7.8 do not properly limit privileges of Javascript eval and Script objects in the calling context, which allows remote attackers to conduct unauthorized activities via "non-DOM property overrides," a variant of CVE-2005-1160. |
| NmConsole/DeviceSelection.asp in Ipswitch WhatsUp Professional 2006 and WhatsUp Professional 2006 Premium allows remote attackers to redirect users to other websites via the (1) sCancelURL and possibly (2) sRedirectUrl parameters. |
| avatar_upload.asp in Avatar MOD 1.3 for Snitz Forums 3.4, and possibly other versions, allows remote attackers to bypass file type checks and upload arbitrary files via a null byte in the file name, as discovered by the Codescan product. |
| PHP 4.0.4pl1 and 4.0.5 in safe mode allows remote attackers to read and write files owned by the web server UID by uploading a PHP script that uses the error_log function to access the files. |
| Vulnerabilities in a large number of SNMP implementations allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service or gain privileges via SNMPv1 trap handling, as demonstrated by the PROTOS c06-SNMPv1 test suite. NOTE: It is highly likely that this candidate will be SPLIT into multiple candidates, one or more for each vendor. This and other SNMP-related candidates will be updated when more accurate information is available. |
| The PLUGINSPAGE functionality in Mozilla Firefox before 1.5.0.4 allows remote user-assisted attackers to execute privileged code by tricking a user into installing missing plugins and selecting the "Manual Install" button, then using nested javascript: URLs. NOTE: the manual install button is used for downloading software from a remote web site, so this issue would not cross privilege boundaries if the user progresses to the point of installing malicious software from the attacker-controlled site. |
| Vulnerabilities in the SNMPv1 request handling of a large number of SNMP implementations allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service or gain privileges via (1) GetRequest, (2) GetNextRequest, and (3) SetRequest messages, as demonstrated by the PROTOS c06-SNMPv1 test suite. NOTE: It is highly likely that this candidate will be SPLIT into multiple candidates, one or more for each vendor. This and other SNMP-related candidates will be updated when more accurate information is available. |
| The error_log function in basic_functions.c in PHP before 4.4.4 and 5.x before 5.1.5 allows local users to bypass safe mode and open_basedir restrictions via a "php://" or other scheme in the third argument, which disables safe mode. |
| ISNTSmtp directory in Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security Suite (IMSS) 5.5 build 1183 and possibly other versions before 5.7.0.1121, uses insecure DACLs for critical files, which allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges by modifying ISNTSysMonitor.exe. |
| Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 and Outlook 2000, with the security zone set to Internet Zone, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary programs via an HTML email with the CODEBASE parameter set to the program, a vulnerability similar to CAN-2002-0077. |
| Multiple Adobe products, including (1) Photoshop CS2, (2) Illustrator CS2, and (3) Adobe Help Center, install a large number of .EXE and .DLL files with write-access permission for the Everyone group, which allows local users to gain privileges via Trojan horse programs. |
| Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro 3.51.759.6511 (462), as used in (1) Lavasoft Personal Firewall 1.0.543.5722 (433) and (2) Novell BorderManager Novell Client Firewall 2.0, does not properly restrict user activities in application windows that run in a LocalSystem context, which allows local users to gain privileges and execute commands (a) via the "open folder" option when no instance of explorer.exe is running, possibly related to the ShellExecute API function; or (b) by overwriting a batch file through the "Save Configuration As" option. NOTE: this might be a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows and explorer.exe instead of the firewall. |
| traceroute in Sun Solaris 10 on x86 systems allows local users to execute arbitrary code with PRIV_NET_RAWACCESS privileges via (1) a large number of -g arguments or (2) a malformed -s argument with a trailing . (dot). |
| Siemens Speedstream Wireless Router 2624 allows local users to bypass authentication and access protected files by using the Universal Plug and Play UPnP/1.0 component. |
| The (1) ftpd and (2) ksu programs in (a) MIT Kerberos 5 (krb5) up to 1.5, and 1.4.x before 1.4.4, and (b) Heimdal 0.7.2 and earlier, do not check return codes for setuid calls, which might allow local users to gain privileges by causing setuid to fail to drop privileges. NOTE: as of 20060808, it is not known whether an exploitable attack scenario exists for these issues. |
| A vulnerability in the Cisco FXOS CLI feature on specific hardware platforms for Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to elevate their administrative privileges to root. The attacker would need valid administrative credentials on the device to exploit this vulnerability. This vulnerability exists because certain system configurations and executable files have insecure storage and permissions. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating on the device and then performing a series of steps that includes downloading malicious system files and accessing the Cisco FXOS CLI to configure the attack. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to obtain root access on the device. |
| A vulnerability in the access control list (ACL) programming of Cisco Nexus 3550-F Switches could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to send traffic that should be blocked to the management interface of an affected device.
This vulnerability exists because ACL deny rules are not properly enforced at the time of device reboot. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by attempting to send traffic to the management interface of an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to send traffic to the management interface of the affected device. |
| A vulnerability was found in Redash up to 10.1.0/25.1.0. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects the function run_query of the file /query_runner/python.py of the component getattr Handler. The manipulation leads to sandbox issue. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The real existence of this vulnerability is still doubted at the moment. The vendor explains, that "[t]he Python data source is disabled by default and is clearly marked in our documentation as discouraged due to its security implications. Users who choose to enable it are doing so at their own risk, with full awareness that it bypasses standard safeguards." |
| A vulnerability in task group assignment for a specific CLI command in Cisco IOS XR Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to elevate privileges and gain full administrative control of an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to incorrect mapping of a command to task groups within the source code. An attacker with a low-privileged account could exploit this vulnerability by using the CLI command to bypass the task group–based checks. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to elevate privileges and perform actions on an affected device without authorization checks. |
| Permission control vulnerability in the resource scheduling module. Impact: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may affect service integrity. |
