| CVE-2025-71193 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: qcom-qusb2: Fix NULL pointer dereference on early suspend Enabling runtime PM before attaching the QPHY instance as driver data can lead to a NULL pointer dereference in runtime PM callbacks that expect valid driver data. There is a small window where the suspend callback may run after PM runtime enabling and before runtime forbid. This causes a sporadic crash during boot: ``` Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000000000000a1 [...] CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 11 Comm: kworker/0:1 Not tainted 6.16.7+ #116 PREEMPT Workqueue: pm pm_runtime_work pstate: 20000005 (nzCv daif -PAN -UAO -TCO -DIT -SSBS BTYPE=--) pc : qusb2_phy_runtime_suspend+0x14/0x1e0 [phy_qcom_qusb2] lr : pm_generic_runtime_suspend+0x2c/0x44 [...] ``` Attach the QPHY instance as driver data before enabling runtime PM to prevent NULL pointer dereference in runtime PM callbacks. Reorder pm_runtime_enable() and pm_runtime_forbid() to prevent a short window where an unnecessary runtime suspend can occur. Use the devres-managed version to ensure PM runtime is symmetrically disabled during driver removal for proper cleanup. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: imu: st_lsm6dsx: fix iio_chan_spec for sensors without event detection The st_lsm6dsx_acc_channels array of struct iio_chan_spec has a non-NULL event_spec field, indicating support for IIO events. However, event detection is not supported for all sensors, and if userspace tries to configure accelerometer wakeup events on a sensor device that does not support them (e.g. LSM6DS0), st_lsm6dsx_write_event() dereferences a NULL pointer when trying to write to the wakeup register. Define an additional struct iio_chan_spec array whose members have a NULL event_spec field, and use this array instead of st_lsm6dsx_acc_channels for sensors without event detection capability. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: at91-sama5d2_adc: Fix potential use-after-free in sama5d2_adc driver at91_adc_interrupt can call at91_adc_touch_data_handler function to start the work by schedule_work(&st->touch_st.workq). If we remove the module which will call at91_adc_remove to make cleanup, it will free indio_dev through iio_device_unregister but quite a bit later. While the work mentioned above will be used. The sequence of operations that may lead to a UAF bug is as follows: CPU0 CPU1 | at91_adc_workq_handler at91_adc_remove | iio_device_unregister(indio_dev) | //free indio_dev a bit later | | iio_push_to_buffers(indio_dev) | //use indio_dev Fix it by ensuring that the work is canceled before proceeding with the cleanup in at91_adc_remove. | ||||
| CVE-2023-54117 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/dcssblk: fix kernel crash with list_add corruption Commit fb08a1908cb1 ("dax: simplify the dax_device <-> gendisk association") introduced new logic for gendisk association, requiring drivers to explicitly call dax_add_host() and dax_remove_host(). For dcssblk driver, some dax_remove_host() calls were missing, e.g. in device remove path. The commit also broke error handling for out_dax case in device add path, resulting in an extra put_device() w/o the previous get_device() in that case. This lead to stale xarray entries after device add / remove cycles. In the case when a previously used struct gendisk pointer (xarray index) would be used again, because blk_alloc_disk() happened to return such a pointer, the xa_insert() in dax_add_host() would fail and go to out_dax, doing the extra put_device() in the error path. In combination with an already flawed error handling in dcssblk (device_register() cleanup), which needs to be addressed in a separate patch, this resulted in a missing device_del() / klist_del(), and eventually in the kernel crash with list_add corruption on a subsequent device_add() / klist_add(). Fix this by adding the missing dax_remove_host() calls, and also move the put_device() in the error path to restore the previous logic. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40316 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Fix device use-after-free on unbind A recent change fixed device reference leaks when looking up drm platform device driver data during bind() but failed to remove a partial fix which had been added by commit 80805b62ea5b ("drm/mediatek: Fix kobject put for component sub-drivers"). This results in a reference imbalance on component bind() failures and on unbind() which could lead to a user-after-free. Make sure to only drop the references after retrieving the driver data by effectively reverting the previous partial fix. Note that holding a reference to a device does not prevent its driver data from going away so there is no point in keeping the reference. | ||||

If some bytes are copied, an error occurred, and jumped to out_error label, 'last_skb' is left unmodified. A later kcm_sendmsg() will use an obsoleted 'last_skb' reference, corrupting the 'head' frag_list and causing the leak. This patch fixes this issue by properly updating the last allocated skb in 'last_skb'. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/habanalabs: support mapping cb with vmalloc-backed coherent memory When IOMMU is enabled, dma_alloc_coherent() with GFP_USER may return addresses from the vmalloc range. If such an address is mapped without VM_MIXEDMAP, vm_insert_page() will trigger a BUG_ON due to the VM_PFNMAP restriction. Fix this by checking for vmalloc addresses and setting VM_MIXEDMAP in the VMA before mapping. This ensures safe mapping and avoids kernel crashes. The memory is still driver-allocated and cannot be accessed directly by userspace. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm/dpu: Disallow unallocated resources to be returned In the event that the topology requests resources that have not been created by the system (because they are typically not represented in dpu_mdss_cfg ^1), the resource(s) in global_state (in this case DSC blocks, until their allocation/assignment is being sanity-checked in "drm/msm/dpu: Reject topologies for which no DSC blocks are available") remain NULL but will still be returned out of dpu_rm_get_assigned_resources, where the caller expects to get an array containing num_blks valid pointers (but instead gets these NULLs). To prevent this from happening, where null-pointer dereferences typically result in a hard-to-debug platform lockup, num_blks shouldn't increase past NULL blocks and will print an error and break instead. After all, max_blks represents the static size of the maximum number of blocks whereas the actual amount varies per platform. ^1: which can happen after a git rebase ended up moving additions to _dpu_cfg to a different struct which has the same patch context. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: char: applicom: fix NULL pointer dereference in ac_ioctl Discovered by Atuin - Automated Vulnerability Discovery Engine. In ac_ioctl, the validation of IndexCard and the check for a valid RamIO pointer are skipped when cmd is 6. However, the function unconditionally executes readb(apbs[IndexCard].RamIO + VERS) at the end. If cmd is 6, IndexCard may reference a board that does not exist (where RamIO is NULL), leading to a NULL pointer dereference. Fix this by skipping the readb access when cmd is 6, as this command is a global information query and does not target a specific board context. | ||||
