CVSS v3.1 |
| Double free in Windows DHCP Server allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| A denial-of-service security issue exists in the affected products. The security issue stems from improper handling of exceptional conditions when processing crafted CIP packets sent to the adapter. A power cycle is required to recover the module and associated I/O. |
| The curl logic that works with SASL authentication could end up cleaning up
the GSASL context *twice* without clearing the pointer in between, making it
`free()` the same pointer twice. |
| A vulnerability was determined in Open Asset Import Library Assimp up to 6.0.4. Affected is the function Assimp::Exporter::ExportToBlob of the file code/AssetLib/Ply/PlyLoader.cpp of the component PLY Model Handler. This manipulation causes double free. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report. |
| A vulnerability was determined in GPAC up to 2.5-DEV. This vulnerability affects the function gf_isom_nalu_sample_rewrite of the file src/isomedia/avc_ext.c of the component MP4Box. This manipulation of the argument nalu_out_bs causes double free. It is possible to launch the attack on the local host. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. Patch name: f29f955f2a3b5e8e507caad3e52319f961bf37bf. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch. |
| In crossbeam-channel rust crate, the internal `Channel` type's `Drop` method has a race condition which could, in some circumstances, lead to a double-free that could result in memory corruption. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in the libarchive library, specifically within the archive_read_format_rar_seek_data() function. This flaw involves an integer overflow that can ultimately lead to a double-free condition. Exploiting a double-free vulnerability can result in memory corruption, enabling an attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial-of-service condition. |
| A flaw was found in the key export functionality of libssh. The issue occurs in the internal function responsible for converting cryptographic keys into serialized formats. During error handling, a memory structure is freed but not cleared, leading to a potential double free issue if an additional failure occurs later in the function. This condition may result in heap corruption or application instability in low-memory scenarios, posing a risk to system reliability where key export operations are performed. |
| A flaw was found in GnuTLS. A double-free vulnerability exists in GnuTLS due to incorrect ownership handling in the export logic of Subject Alternative Name (SAN) entries containing an otherName. If the type-id OID is invalid or malformed, GnuTLS will call asn1_delete_structure() on an ASN.1 node it does not own, leading to a double-free condition when the parent function or caller later attempts to free the same structure.
This vulnerability can be triggered using only public GnuTLS APIs and may result in denial of service or memory corruption, depending on allocator behavior. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mailbox: mailbox-test: don't free the reused channel
The RX channel can be aliased to the TX channel if it has a different
MMIO. This special case needs to be handled when freeing the channels
otherwise a double-free occurs. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vfio/pci: Clean up DMABUFs before disabling function
On device shutdown, make vfio_pci_core_close_device() call
vfio_pci_dma_buf_cleanup() before the function is disabled via
vfio_pci_core_disable(). This ensures that all access via DMABUFs is
revoked before the function's BARs become inaccessible.
This fixes an issue where, if the function is disabled first, a tiny
window exists in which the function's MSE is cleared and yet BARs
could still be accessed via the DMABUF. The resources would also be
freed and up for grabs by a different driver. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tipc: fix double-free in tipc_buf_append()
tipc_msg_validate() can potentially reallocate the skb it is validating,
freeing the old one. In tipc_buf_append(), it was being called with a
pointer to a local variable which was a copy of the caller's skb
pointer.
If the skb was reallocated and validation subsequently failed, the error
handling path would free the original skb pointer, which had already
been freed, leading to double-free.
Fix this by checking if head now points to a newly allocated reassembled
skb. If it does, reassign *headbuf for later freeing operations. |
| The security fix for CVE-2025-0728 in eclipse-threadx NetX Duo refactors error handling in the HTTP server PUT process to use a shared cleanup label, but this unified cleanup path unconditionally calls fx_file_close() even when the file was never successfully opened. Multiple error branches jump to the shared cleanup label before any file open operation has occurred, causing fx_file_close() to operate on an uninitialized file handle, leading to undefined behavior, double-close issues, or memory corruption. |
| A maliciously crafted PDF file, when opened by a user in Autodesk Design Review, can trigger a Double Free vulnerability in the Autodesk Design Review application. A malicious actor may leverage this vulnerability to cause memory corruption and execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: fix double free in create_space_info_sub_group() error path
When kobject_init_and_add() fails, the call chain is:
create_space_info_sub_group()
-> btrfs_sysfs_add_space_info_type()
-> kobject_init_and_add()
-> failure
-> kobject_put(&sub_group->kobj)
-> space_info_release()
-> kfree(sub_group)
Then control returns to create_space_info_sub_group(), where:
btrfs_sysfs_add_space_info_type() returns error
-> kfree(sub_group)
Thus, sub_group is freed twice.
Keep parent->sub_group[index] = NULL for the failure path, but after
btrfs_sysfs_add_space_info_type() has called kobject_put(), let the
kobject release callback handle the cleanup. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/rxe: Fix double free in rxe_srq_from_init
In rxe_srq_from_init(), the queue pointer 'q' is assigned to
'srq->rq.queue' before copying the SRQ number to user space.
If copy_to_user() fails, the function calls rxe_queue_cleanup()
to free the queue, but leaves the now-invalid pointer in
'srq->rq.queue'.
The caller of rxe_srq_from_init() (rxe_create_srq) eventually
calls rxe_srq_cleanup() upon receiving the error, which triggers
a second rxe_queue_cleanup() on the same memory, leading to a
double free.
The call trace looks like this:
kmem_cache_free+0x.../0x...
rxe_queue_cleanup+0x1a/0x30 [rdma_rxe]
rxe_srq_cleanup+0x42/0x60 [rdma_rxe]
rxe_elem_release+0x31/0x70 [rdma_rxe]
rxe_create_srq+0x12b/0x1a0 [rdma_rxe]
ib_create_srq_user+0x9a/0x150 [ib_core]
Fix this by moving 'srq->rq.queue = q' after copy_to_user. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
spi: meson-spicc: Fix double-put in remove path
meson_spicc_probe() registers the controller with
devm_spi_register_controller(), so teardown already drops the
controller reference via devm cleanup.
Calling spi_controller_put() again in meson_spicc_remove()
causes a double-put. |
| unbounded_spsc is an "unbounded" extension of bounded_spsc_queue. In versions 0.2.0 and prior, sender::send pointer-as-value transmute causes OOB read and fake-Arc drop under TX/RX race. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/display: fix double free issue during amdgpu module unload
Flexible endpoints use DIGs from available inflexible endpoints,
so only the encoders of inflexible links need to be freed.
Otherwise, a double free issue may occur when unloading the
amdgpu module.

| Issue summary: A malicious server can exploit TLS OCSP stapling by delivering
a crafted response through the status_request extension, triggering a
double-free in the client's certificate verification path.
Impact summary: Successful exploitation allows an attacker to corrupt heap
memory via a double-free, potentially leading to a Denial of Service or
possibly an attacker controlled code execution or other undefined behavior.
If OCSP stapling is enabled and the TLS client connects to a malicious server,
a crafted OCSP stapled response can trigger a double free in the TLS client
when the stapled response is checked.
The OCSP stapling is not enabled by default. Reliable code execution
through a double-free is technically complex and highly environment-dependent
but the Denial of Service impact is straightforward to achieve, warranting
Moderate severity.
No FIPS modules are affected by this issue as the affected code is outside
the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary. |
