CVSS v3.1 |
| uniget is a universal installer and updater for (container) tools. Prior to 0.27.6, the hooks edit command in cmd/uniget/hooks.go concatenates an unvalidated hook filename with the selected hooks directory, allowing parent-directory components to escape that directory. The resulting path is passed to the configured editor, which can access or modify files outside the hooks directory with the privileges of the uniget process account. This issue is fixed in version 0.27.6. |
| The WP Import Export Lite WordPress plugin before 3.9.33 does not validate a path taken from stored, user-supplied data before recursively deleting the directory it resolves to, allowing users to whom an administrator has delegated a WP Import Export Lite WordPress plugin before 3.9.33 capability to delete arbitrary directories, and every file within them, including outside the web root. |
| Nozomi Networks Labs identified a CWE-73: External Control of File Name or Path vulnerability in the backup-restore workflow of Advantech EKI-1242EIMS in firmware version V1.06.01 that allows a remote authenticated attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the device filesystem by uploading a crafted backup archive through the web management interface. |
| vm2 versions from 3.11.3 before 3.11.7 expose the host tls module to NodeVM sandbox code, allowing attackers to call tls.setDefaultCACertificates() and replace process-wide certificate authorities. Attackers with access to allowed tls and url builtins can use URLSearchParams to create host-realm arrays and manipulate the TLS trust store, enabling subsequent host HTTPS clients to accept attacker-controlled certificates. |
| garminconnect is a Python 3 API wrapper for Garmin Connect that retrieves statistics and manages activities. Prior to 0.3.5, garminconnect/client.py Client.dump creates the OAuth token directory and garmin_tokens.json without explicit owner-only modes, so a permissive umask such as 022 can leave the directory mode at 0755 and the token file mode at 0644. garmin_tokens.json contains di_refresh_token, and another unprivileged user on a shared Linux or macOS host can read the token and obtain persistent access to the victim's Garmin Connect account, including health, fitness, activity, and device data. The Garmin.login tokenstore path is affected, and a pre-existing loosely permissioned token file remains exposed until rewritten or manually restricted. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.5. |
| Anyquery is an SQL query engine built on top of SQLite. Prior to 0.4.5, anyquery server exposes file-backed SQLite virtual table modules such as csv_reader and log_reader through its MySQL-compatible server port without authentication, authorization, or directory restrictions. A remote attacker can use SQLite CREATE VIRTUAL TABLE statements to provide a local path to these modules, which use hashicorp/go-getter under the Anyquery server process and return the selected file contents as queryable table rows. The disclosure is limited only by the filesystem permissions of the server process and can expose system configuration, credentials, and private keys. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.5. |
| Anyquery is an SQL query engine built on top of SQLite. Prior to 0.4.5, anyquery server forwards unauthenticated SQL from its MySQL-compatible server port to SQLite without restricting ATTACH DATABASE filesystem targets. A remote attacker can select any path writable by the Anyquery server process, cause SQLite to create a database file there, and place attacker-controlled table content in that file. This permits arbitrary file creation or overwrite, causing filesystem integrity loss and denial of service; remote code execution is possible only when another service interprets the written file or the process has a suitably privileged writable target. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.5. |
| Flowise through 2.2.7 fails to sanitize path segments in the document-store loader endpoint, allowing unauthenticated attackers to write files outside the storage directory. Attackers can use parent-directory sequences to escape the storage directory and overwrite application files loaded at boot for remote code execution. |
| A flaw in Node.js Permission Model filesystem enforcement leaves `fs.realpathSync.native()` without the required read permission checks, while all comparable filesystem functions correctly enforce them.
As a result, code running under `--permission` with restricted `--allow-fs-read` can still use `fs.realpathSync.native()` to check file existence, resolve symlink targets, and enumerate filesystem paths outside of permitted directories.
This vulnerability affects **20.x, 22.x, 24.x, and 25.x** processes using the Permission Model where `--allow-fs-read` is intentionally restricted. |
| Nextflow is a DSL for data-driven computational pipelines. From 25.09.2-edge until 25.10.6 and 26.04.3, nextflow auth login writes Seqera Platform OIDC bearer tokens to ${NXF_HOME:-~/.nextflow}/seqera-auth.config through AuthCommandImpl.writeConfig in plugins/nf-tower/src/main/io/seqera/tower/plugin/auth/AuthCommandImpl.groovy without setting restrictive file permissions, allowing the default umask 022 to create the file with mode 0644. On a multi-user POSIX host, a local user who can traverse the victim's home directory can read seqera-auth.config and impersonate the victim against Seqera Platform within the token's scope. Single-user systems and headless CI runners that do not use the interactive login flow are not affected. This issue is fixed in 25.10.6 and 26.04.3. |
| External Control of File Name or Path vulnerability in ASUS Business Manager allows a local user to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges via a tampered IPC message.
Refer to the '
Security Update for ASUS Business Manager ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| Incorrect permission assignment for a critical resource in Armoury Crate allows a local user to bypass the driver’s validation mechanism, resulting in unauthorized read and write access to physical memory.Refer to the '
Security Update for Armoury Crate App ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Prior to versions 7.0.16 and 8.0.5, a malicious rule could potentially overwrite any file on the file system on rule load or reload. Versions 7.0.16 and 8.0.5 fix the issue. Some workarounds are available. Preprocess `load`+ `save` rules to disallow absolute filenames for save, use Suricata's privilege dropping to limit writable files, and/or configure landlock in suricata.yaml. |
| External control of file name or path in Skype for Business allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to 0.22.0, the confluence_upload_attachment and confluence_upload_attachments tools pass a client-controlled file_path through src/mcp_atlassian/confluence/attachments.py upload_attachment, and the jira_update_issue attachments parameter reaches src/mcp_atlassian/jira/attachments.py upload_attachment, without confining either path to an approved server workspace. In a remote HTTP, SSE, or multi-user deployment, absolute or traversing paths are resolved on the MCP server and uploaded to Atlassian, allowing a client with write-tool access to disclose server files, environment-held Atlassian credentials, or another tenant's data. A local single-user stdio deployment does not cross this trust boundary because the server runs in the caller's environment. This issue is fixed in version 0.22.0. |
| LaraDashboard versions 0.9.2 through 1.2.2 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the core-upgrade backup handling. CoreUpgradeController and BackupService (e.g. BackupService::deleteBackup()) concatenate the user-supplied backup_file/filename value directly onto the backup directory path without normalisation, without applying basename(), and without verifying that the resolved path remains inside storage/app/core-backups; the corresponding form requests only validate the value as a bounded string. An authenticated user holding only the delegated settings.edit permission (not Superadmin) can supply ../ traversal sequences to delete arbitrary files reachable on the host filesystem, including outside the application tree, or to restore a ZIP archive from an arbitrary on-disk location, writing arbitrary files into the application directories and achieving remote code execution. Note: the advisory states the vulnerable concatenation was introduced in the v0.9.7 release line. No patched version was available at the time of publication. |
| GitPython 3.1.59 fails to restrict the --no-index option in the high-level diff API, allowing attackers to read arbitrary filesystem paths as repository operands. Attackers can combine --no-index with -I/--ignore-matching-lines to create a content-dependent Boolean oracle, repeatedly querying local files to recover single-line secrets through distinguishable success or error responses. |
| Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to unauthorized access. |
| Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.0.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3, DistributedAPI.send_tmp_file() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/dapi/dapi.py joins an attacker-controlled tmp_file value to WAZUH_PATH without canonicalization or confinement. A cluster peer holding the shared Fernet key can use traversal or an absolute path to make the master return any readable file over the cluster channel. Reading /var/ossec/api/configuration/security/private_key.pem allows the peer to forge administrator REST API tokens offline and then exercise administrative privileges without creating an account. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3. |
| Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.3.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3, the non-merged branch of process_files_from_worker() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/master.py trusts a peer-controlled file_path key from files_metadata.json. The destination is joined to WAZUH_PATH without proving that it remains inside the directory selected by cluster_item_key. A cluster peer holding the shared Fernet key can upload a crafted extra-valid archive and overwrite security-sensitive files such as /var/ossec/etc/ossec.conf. Replacing ossec.conf can configure root-executed commands and lead to code execution after a service reload. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3. |
