| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/sysfb: simpledrm: Improve stride validation
Validate the computed stride against the maximum value INT_MAX. |
| An integer overflow in the BSON document encoding component of the MongoDB Python Driver's bundled native extension may occur when a single document is built from an unusually large amount of caller-supplied data. Size arithmetic is performed in a signed 32-bit type, and the guard meant to catch the overflow is written in a form whose behavior is not defined by the C language standard. A party with no privileges who can place a very large value into data that an application encodes may, depending on how the native extension was built, cause a write outside the bounds of an allocated buffer inside the application's own process. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: cfg80211: validate IEs in cfg80211_wext_siwgenie()
The KASAN allocation trace shows that a malformed IE buffer is
stored via SIOCSIWGENIE (cfg80211_wext_siwgenie()) without any
validation. The crash trace shows that a subsequent SIOCSIWESSID
triggers a connection attempt which calls cfg80211_sme_get_conn_ies()
to process the stored IE buffer, causing:
- An out-of-bounds read in skip_ie() which reads ies[pos+1]
(the length byte) past the end of the 1-byte buffer.
- An integer underflow in the memcpy size argument when offs
returned by ieee80211_ie_split() exceeds ies_len, causing
unsigned subtraction to wrap to SIZE_MAX and triggering a
fortify panic.
Fix this by validating the IE buffer in cfg80211_wext_siwgenie()
before storing it.

An attacker with root access to a partition can send a specially crafted request to the partition firmware runtime, causing it to crash with possible memory corruption. |
| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, freerdp_image_copy_from_icon_data in libfreerdp/codec/color.c calculates nWidth multiplied by nHeight multiplied by FreeRDPGetBytesPerPixel(format) in 32-bit arithmetic. A malicious RDP server can send a RAIL TS_ICON_INFO update with dimensions such as 32768 by 32768 and 32 bits per pixel so the required-size calculation wraps, bypassing the cbBitsColor source bounds check before freerdp_image_copy_no_overlap reads attacker-controlled icon data. This affects RemoteApp clients using the vulnerable library path, while xfreerdp has a caller-side mitigation. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0. |

| An integer overflow flaw was found in GIMP's PVR image loader. When a user opens a crafted PVR image, unchecked multiplication of attacker-controlled dimensions in pvr_decode_rect() can result in an undersized heap allocation followed by an out-of-bounds read. This may disclose adjacent heap contents through the decoded image or crash the file-pvr plug-in. |
