CVSS v3.1 |
A flaw was found in SSSD. When configured to use Microsoft Entra ID, search inputs are not properly sanitized before being incorporated into directory query filters. A local user can exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted lookup request, manipulating the query logic to cause unauthorized information disclosure from the directory.
A flaw was found in SSSD. An unprivileged local user can repeatedly request lookups for nonexistent entries through the Name Service Switch (NSS) responder. Because the negative cache does not limit the total number of stored entries and only removes expired records when an existing key is rechecked, the cache can grow without bound. This behavior can lead to memory exhaustion, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) as the responder becomes unresponsive or terminates.
A flaw was found in dnsmasq. After a reduction of internal domain-name buffer sizes, the DNSSEC validator can write a few bytes past a name buffer when converting names to and from DNS wire format. An attacker who can cause the server to validate a crafted DNSSEC response may overwrite a small amount of adjacent heap metadata. DNSSEC support is not compiled in by default and must also be enabled at runtime.
A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The TCP DNS service uses a small fixed pool of child processes and does not set a receive timeout on client connections. A remote attacker can open idle TCP connections to port 53 and occupy the entire pool, preventing new TCP DNS connections and DNSSEC validation that requires TCP fallback. UDP DNS resolution continues, and occupied slots are released after a fixed lifetime.
A path traversal flaw was found in SSSD's AD GPO provider. The ad_gpo_extract_smb_components() function does not sanitize .. sequences in the gPCFileSysPath LDAP attribute, allowing an attacker with AD GPO management access to write files outside the GPO cache directory as root. On default RHEL configurations with SELinux enforcing, this can be used to inject Kerberos configuration leading to authentication bypass.
A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in Cyrus SASL. The add_to_challenge() function in the DIGEST-MD5 plugin computes the size of the buffer needed for a challenge/response field before DIGEST-MD5 quoting is applied, but does not recompute that size when quoting (escaping special characters) makes the value longer. The under-sized buffer is then passed to strcat(), causing a heap-based out-of-bounds write whose size depends on attacker-controlled input. A malicious or on-path DIGEST-MD5 (or HTTP Digest) server can trigger this flaw in a connecting client by supplying a crafted challenge field, such as realm or nonce, most likely resulting in a crash of the client application.
A flaw has been identified in glibc. In an uncommon situation, the gaih_inet function may use memory that has been freed, resulting in an application crash. This issue is only exploitable when the getaddrinfo function is called and the hosts database in /etc/nsswitch.conf is configured with SUCCESS=continue or SUCCESS=merge.
A TOCTOU (Time-of-Check Time-of-Use) vulnerability in GNU tar's incremental dumpdir 'X' rename handling allows a local attacker with write access to a directory being backed up to influence the restore process if the attacker has access to the system where the restore is being performed. During restoration, files or directories may be created, renamed or overwritten outside the intended extraction directory. This could lead to unauthorized file modification or, in some cases, privilege escalation. Exploitation does not require the attacker to modify or craft the archive, and standard backup and restore workflows—including extracting into a newly created directory without using the -P option do not mitigate the issue.
A vulnerability was found in Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O. A symlink traversal vulnerability in the containers/storage library can cause Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O to hang and result in a denial of service via OOM kill when running a malicious image using an automatically assigned user namespace (`--userns=auto` in Podman and Buildah). The containers/storage library will read /etc/passwd inside the container, but does not properly validate if that file is a symlink, which can be used to cause the library to read an arbitrary file on the host.
A flaw was found in Go. When FIPS mode is enabled on a system, container runtimes may incorrectly handle certain file paths due to improper validation in the containers/common Go library. This flaw allows an attacker to exploit symbolic links and trick the system into mounting sensitive host directories inside a container. This issue also allows attackers to access critical host files, bypassing the intended isolation between containers and the host system.
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the web interface in Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the Description field of the asset tag in a Custom Info page.
A flaw was found in the libstdc++ component of GCC. An attacker who can provide an excessively large element count to a boolean vector (std::vector<bool>) constructor can trigger an integer wrap during internal memory calculations. This issue leaves the container in an inconsistent state, leading to out-of-bounds memory access and resulting in an application crash or a Denial of Service (DoS) during subsequent operations.
A flaw was found in dracut. The die() error-handling function writes its message into a shell script under the initramfs emergency-hook directory without properly shell-quoting it. When the message contains data derived from the DHCP ROOT_PATH option, an attacker on the adjacent network who controls a rogue DHCP server can inject a command-substitution sequence that executes as root the next time dracut sources its emergency hook scripts during standard boot-failure handling.
A flaw was found in Eye of GNOME. When parsing a specially crafted PNG image containing malformed color profile metadata, the application fails to validate chunk boundaries while searching for a null terminator. An attacker could trick a user into opening a malicious image, causing the application to read past the allocated buffer. This issue can lead to an application crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS), or potentially expose sensitive memory contents.
A flaw was found in Ghostscript. When processing a specially crafted TrueType font or document embedding one, an accounting error during font rendering can bypass buffer size checks, triggering a heap-based buffer overflow. A remote attacker could exploit this by enticing a victim or automated service to open the malicious content, potentially resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) crash or arbitrary code execution.
A flaw was found in GCC. An out-of-bounds memory access vulnerability exists in the libstdc++ parallel search implementation due to an undersized internal buffer. A local attacker can exploit this flaw by providing crafted search data to an application compiled with parallel mode, causing the process to crash and leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).
A flaw was found in Ghostscript. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to process a specially crafted PDF or PostScript document containing malicious mesh shading data. Due to improper bounds validation during the processing of indexed color values, Ghostscript triggers an out-of-bounds memory read. Successful exploitation can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) through an application crash or result in limited information disclosure.
Rejected as this CVE is duplicate to CVE-2026-4890.
On most platforms, Go uses the given system root certificates. However, in some narrower cases, the system trust stores may not be updated without further action. To defend against the narrower set of cases that may remain affected, a denylist was added in crypto/x509 to return an error when calling Verify with any of the known intermediate certificates that are no longer considered to be trustworthy.

Prior to versions 3.8.3, 4.3.7, and 5.1.5, Prototype Pollution is possible in immutable via the mergeDeep(), mergeDeepWith(), merge(), Map.toJS(), and Map.toObject() APIs. This issue has been patched in versions 3.8.3, 4.3.7, and 5.1.5. |
