CVSS v3.1 |
| all the Toshiba printers have programs containing a hardcoded key used to encrypt files. An attacker can decrypt the encrypted files using the hardcoded key. Insecure algorithm is used for the encryption. This vulnerability can be executed in combination with other vulnerabilities and difficult to execute alone. So, the CVSS score for this vulnerability alone is lower than the score listed in the "Base Score" of this vulnerability. | All the Toshiba printers contain a shell script using the same hardcoded key to encrypt logs. An attacker can decrypt the encrypted files using the hardcoded key. This vulnerability can be executed in combination with other vulnerabilities and difficult to execute alone. So, the CVSS score for this vulnerability alone is lower than the score listed in the "Base Score" of this vulnerability. | Vulnerabilities* in ActADUR local server product, developed and maintained by ProTNS, allows Remote Code Inclusion on host systems.
* vulnerabilities:
*
Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection')
* Use of Hard-coded Credentials
* Improper Authentication
* Binding to an Unrestricted IP Address
The vulnerability has been rated as critical.This issue affects ActADUR: from v2.0.1.9 before v2.0.2.0., hence updating to version v2.0.2.0. or above is required. |
| The ArchiverSpaApi ASP.NET application uses a hard-coded JWT signing key. An unauthenticated remote attacker can generate and use a verifiable JWT token to access protected ArchiverSpaApi URL endpoints. |
| The WorkExaminer Professional server installation comes with an FTP server that is used to receive the client logs on TCP port 12304. An attacker with network access to this port can use weak hardcoded credentials to login to the FTP server and modify or read data, log files and gain remote code execution as NT Authority\SYSTEM on the server by exchanging accessible service binaries in the WorkExaminer installation directory (e.g. "C:\Program File (x86)\Work Examiner Professional Server"). |
| The `/etc/passwd` and `/etc/shadow` files reveal hard-coded password hashes for the operating system "root" user. The credentials are shipped with the update files. There is no option for deleting or changing their passwords for an enduser. An attacker can use the credentials to log into the device. Authentication can be performed via SSH backdoor or likely via physical access (UART shell). |
| CWE-798 Use of Hard-coded Credentials |
| An OEM IP camera manufactured by Shenzhen Liandian Communication Technology LTD exposes a Telnet service (port 23) with undocumented, default credentials. The Telnet service is enabled by default and is not disclosed or configurable via the device’s web interface or user manual. An attacker with network access can authenticate using default credentials and gain root-level shell access to the device. The affected firmware version is AppFHE1_V1.0.6.0 (Kernel: KerFHE1_PTZ_WIFI_V3.1.1, Hardware: HwFHE1_WF6_PTZ_WIFI_20201218). No official fix or firmware update is available, and the vendor could not be contacted. This vulnerability allows for remote code execution and privilege escalation. |
| INIM Electronics Smartliving SmartLAN/G/SI <=6.x contains hard-coded credentials in its Linux distribution image that cannot be changed through normal device operations. Attackers can exploit these persistent credentials to log in and gain unauthorized system access across multiple SmartLiving device models. |
| In KDE libksieve before 23.03.80, kmanagesieve/session.cpp places a cleartext password in server logs because a username variable is accidentally given a password value. |
| MinMax CMS from MinMax Digital Technology contains a hidden administrator account with a fixed password that cannot be removed or disabled from the management interface. Remote attackers who obtain this account can bypass IP access control restrictions and log in to the backend system without being recorded in the system logs. |
| Cypress Solutions CTM-200/CTM-ONE 1.3.6 contains hard-coded credentials vulnerability in Linux distribution that exposes root access. Attackers can exploit the static 'Chameleon' password to gain remote root access via Telnet or SSH on affected devices. |
| The wsc server uses a hard-coded certificate to check the authenticity of SOAP messages. An unauthenticated remote attacker can extract private keys from the Software of the affected devices. |
| The WP2Speed Faster – Optimize PageSpeed Insights Score 90-100 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.1. This is due to the use of hardcoded credentials to authenticate all the incoming API requests. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to overwrite CSS, update the trial settings, purge the cache, and find attachments. |
| Tigo Energy's Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) device contains hard-coded credentials that allow unauthorized users to gain administrative access. This vulnerability enables attackers to escalate privileges and take full control of the device, potentially modifying system settings, disrupting solar energy production, and interfering with safety mechanisms. |
| Neye3C v4.5.2.0 was discovered to contain a hardcoded encryption key in the firmware update mechanism. |
| An unauthenticated remote attacker can use the hard-coded credentials to access the SmartSPS devices with high privileges.
|
| There are several scripts in the web interface that are accessible via undocumented hard-coded credentials. The scripts provide access to additional administrative/debug functionality and are likely intended for debugging during development and provides an additional attack surface. |
| Heatmiser Netmonitor 3.03 contains a hardcoded credentials vulnerability in the networkSetup.htm page with predictable admin login credentials. Attackers can access the device by using the hard-coded username 'admin' and password 'admin' in the hidden form input fields. |
| An authentication bypass vulnerability in the /web/um_open_telnet.cgi endpoint in Nexxt Solutions NCM-X1800 Mesh Router firmware UV1.2.7 and below, allowing an attacker to remotely enable the Telnet service without authentication, bypassing security controls. The Telnet server is then accessible with hard-coded credentials, allowing attackers to gain administrative shell access and execute arbitrary commands on the device. |
