CVSS v3.1 |
| CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability exists that could cause elevated system access when a Web Admin user on the local network tampers with the POST /REST/UpdateJRE request payload. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in jeecgboot jeewx-boot up to 641ab52c3e1845fec39996d7794c33fb40dad1dd. This affects the function getImgUrl of the file WxActGoldeneggsPrizesController.java. Performing manipulation of the argument imgurl results in path traversal. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been released to the public and may be exploited. This product follows a rolling release approach for continuous delivery, so version details for affected or updated releases are not provided. The root cause was initially fixed but can be evaded with additional encoding. |
| Spring Framework MVC applications can be vulnerable to a “Path Traversal Vulnerability” when deployed on a non-compliant Servlet container.
An application can be vulnerable when all the following are true:
* the application is deployed as a WAR or with an embedded Servlet container
* the Servlet container does not reject suspicious sequences https://jakarta.ee/specifications/servlet/6.1/jakarta-servlet-spec-6.1.html#uri-path-canonicalization
* the application serves static resources https://docs.spring.io/spring-framework/reference/web/webmvc/mvc-config/static-resources.html#page-title with Spring resource handling
We have verified that applications deployed on Apache Tomcat or Eclipse Jetty are not vulnerable, as long as default security features are not disabled in the configuration. Because we cannot check exploits against all Servlet containers and configuration variants, we strongly recommend upgrading your application. |
| Copier library and CLI app for rendering project templates. From 7.1.0 to before 9.9.1, Copier suggests that it's safe to generate a project from a safe template, i.e. one that doesn't use unsafe features like custom Jinja extensions which would require passing the --UNSAFE,--trust flag. As it turns out, a safe template can currently write files outside the destination path where a project shall be generated or updated. This is possible when rendering a generated directory structure whose rendered path is either a relative parent path or an absolute path. Constructing such paths is possible using Copier's builtin pathjoin Jinja filter and its builtin _copier_conf.sep variable, which is the platform-native path separator. This way, a malicious template author can create a template that overwrites arbitrary files (according to the user's write permissions), e.g., to cause havoc. This vulnerability is fixed in 9.9.1. |
| Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 0.45.0 through 0.48.6, the Cursor app introduced a regression affecting the set of file paths the Cursor Agent is permitted to modify automatically. Under specific conditions, the agent could be prompted, either directly by the user or via maliciously crafted context, to automatically write to files outside of the opened workspace. This behavior required deliberate prompting, making successful exploitation highly impractical in real-world scenarios. Furthermore, the edited file was still displayed in the UI as usual for user review, making it unlikely for the edit to go unnoticed by the user. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.48.7. |
| Directory Traversal vulnerability in dagster-webserver Dagster thru 1.5.11 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via crafted request to the /logs endpoint. This may be restricted to certain file names that start with a dot ('.'). |
| A path traversal vulnerability exists in the Karel IP1211 IP Phone's web management panel. The /cgi-bin/cgiServer.exx endpoint fails to properly sanitize user input to the page parameter, allowing remote authenticated attackers to access arbitrary files on the underlying system by using crafted path traversal sequences. Exploitation evidence was observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2025-02-02 UTC. |
| The Download Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the savePackage function in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.12. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). |
| A vulnerability in the gradio-app/gradio repository, version git 67e4044, allows for path traversal on Windows OS. The implementation of the blocked_path functionality, which is intended to disallow users from reading certain files, is flawed. Specifically, while the application correctly blocks access to paths like 'C:/tmp/secret.txt', it fails to block access when using NTFS Alternate Data Streams (ADS) syntax, such as 'C:/tmp/secret.txt::$DATA'. This flaw can lead to unauthorized reading of blocked file paths. |
| An issue in the Printer Manager Systm of Entrust Corp Printer Manager D3.18.4-3 and below allows attackers to execute a directory traversal via a crafted POST request. |
| When extracting a tar archive pip may not check symbolic links point into the extraction directory if the tarfile module doesn't implement PEP 706.
Note that upgrading pip to a "fixed" version for this vulnerability doesn't fix all known vulnerabilities that are remediated by using a Python version that implements PEP 706.
Note that this is a vulnerability in pip's fallback implementation of tar extraction for Python versions that don't implement PEP 706
and therefore are not secure to all vulnerabilities in the Python 'tarfile' module. If you're using a Python version that implements PEP 706
then pip doesn't use the "vulnerable" fallback code.
Mitigations include upgrading to a version of pip that includes the fix, upgrading to a Python version that implements PEP 706 (Python >=3.9.17, >=3.10.12, >=3.11.4, or >=3.12),
applying the linked patch, or inspecting source distributions (sdists) before installation as is already a best-practice. |
| tar-fs provides filesystem bindings for tar-stream. Versions prior to 3.0.9, 2.1.3, and 1.16.5 have an issue where an extract can write outside the specified dir with a specific tarball. This has been patched in versions 3.0.9, 2.1.3, and 1.16.5. As a workaround, use the ignore option to ignore non files/directories. |
| Directory Traversal vulnerability in Punkbuster pbsv.d64 2.351, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. |
| A vulnerability was found in vector4wang spring-boot-quick up to 20250422. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function ResponseEntity of the file /spring-boot-quick-master/quick-img2txt/src/main/java/com/quick/controller/Img2TxtController.java of the component quick-img2txt. The manipulation leads to path traversal. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A path traversal vulnerability exists in A10 Networks AX Loadbalancer versions 2.6.1-GR1-P5, 2.7.0, and earlier. The vulnerability resides in the handling of the filename parameter in the /xml/downloads endpoint, which fails to properly sanitize user input. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this flaw by sending crafted HTTP requests containing directory traversal sequences to read arbitrary files outside the intended directory. The files returned by the vulnerable endpoint are deleted from the system after retrieval. This can lead to unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information such as SSL certificates and private keys, as well as unintended file deletion. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in Mendix Studio Pro 10 (All versions < V10.23.0), Mendix Studio Pro 10.12 (All versions < V10.12.17), Mendix Studio Pro 10.18 (All versions < V10.18.7), Mendix Studio Pro 10.6 (All versions < V10.6.24), Mendix Studio Pro 11 (All versions < V11.0.0), Mendix Studio Pro 8 (All versions < V8.18.35), Mendix Studio Pro 9 (All versions < V9.24.35). A zip path traversal vulnerability exists in the module installation process of Studio Pro. By crafting a malicious module and distributing it via (for example) the Mendix Marketplace, an attacker could write or modify arbitrary files in directories outside a developer’s project directory upon module installation. |
| A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in AlanBinu007 Spring-Boot-Advanced-Projects up to 3.1.3. This affects the function uploadUserProfileImage of the file /Spring-Boot-Advanced-Projects-main/Project-4.SpringBoot-AWS-S3/backend/src/main/java/com/urunov/profile/UserProfileController.java of the component Upload Profile API Endpoint. The manipulation of the argument File leads to path traversal. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Zohocorp ManageEngine Analytics Plus versions before 5410 and Zoho Analytics On-Premise versions before 5410 are vulnerable to Path traversal. |
| A vulnerability was found in 云课网络科技有限公司 Yunke Online School System up to 3.0.6. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function downfile of the file application/admin/controller/Appadmin.php. The manipulation of the argument url leads to path traversal. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. |
| HelloWeb 2.0 contains an arbitrary file download vulnerability that allows remote attackers to download system files by manipulating filepath and filename parameters. Attackers can send crafted GET requests to download.asp with directory traversal to access sensitive configuration and system files. |
