| A path traversal vulnerability has been reported to affect several product versions. If a local attacker gains a user account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to read the contents of unexpected files or system data.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following versions:
Qfinder Pro Mac 7.13.0 and later
Qsync for Mac 5.1.5 and later
QVPN Device Client for Mac 2.2.8 and later |
| NetSupport Manager < 14.12.0001 contains an arbitrary file write vulnerability in its Connectivity Server/Gateway PUTFILE request handler. An attacker with a valid Gateway Key can supply a crafted filename containing directory traversal sequences to write files to arbitrary locations on the server. This can be leveraged to place attacker-controlled DLLs or executables in privileged paths and achieve remote code execution in the context of the NetSupport Manager connectivity service. |
| Multiple functions use archives without properly validating the filenames therein, rendering the application vulnerable to path traversal via 'zip slip' attacks.
An administrator able to provide tampered archives to be processed by the affected versions of Arc may be able to have arbitrary files extracted to arbitrary filesystem locations. Leveraging this issue, an attacker may be able to overwrite arbitrary files on the target filesystem and cause critical impacts on the system (e.g., arbitrary command execution on the victim’s machine). |

This issue has been corrected to release 24R1-SR 1.0 MP and later.
Beginning with release 24R1-SR 1.0 MP, the OAM service software performed PlanId field input validations mitigate the reported path traversal issue. |
| A Path Traversal vulnerability exists in the `/wipe_database` endpoint of parisneo/lollms version v12, allowing an attacker to delete any directory on the system. The vulnerability arises from improper validation of the `key` parameter, which is used to construct file paths. An attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted HTTP request to delete arbitrary directories. |

| Lektor before 3.3.11 does not sanitize DB path traversal. Thus, shell commands might be executed via a file that is added to the templates directory, if the victim's web browser accesses an untrusted website that uses JavaScript to send requests to localhost port 5000, and the web browser is running on the same machine as the "lektor server" command. |
| tar-fs provides filesystem bindings for tar-stream. Versions prior to 3.0.9, 2.1.3, and 1.16.5 have an issue where an extract can write outside the specified dir with a specific tarball. This has been patched in versions 3.0.9, 2.1.3, and 1.16.5. As a workaround, use the ignore option to ignore non files/directories. |
| MPXJ is an open source library to read and write project plans from a variety of file formats and databases. The patch for the historical vulnerability CVE-2020-35460 in MPXJ is incomplete as there is still a possibility that a malicious path could be constructed which would not be picked up by the original fix and allow files to be written to arbitrary locations. The issue is addressed in MPXJ version 13.5.1. |
