Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Azure Attestation service and Device Health Attestation Service allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network.
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the schema lexer of flatcc 4c3b999e. When an exact-length FlatBuffers schema ends with an unterminated quotation mark, the C-string scanning logic in lex() dereferences the input pointer after it has reached the end of the buffer. A specially crafted schema can trigger a one-byte heap buffer over-read, resulting in application crash and denial of service.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: qla2xxx: Bound rsp_info_len to avoid OOB sense-data read
In qla2x00_status_entry(), the FWI2 status path advances sense_data and
shrinks par_sense_len by rsp_info_len:
if (IS_FWI2_CAPABLE(ha)) {
sense_data += rsp_info_len;
par_sense_len -= rsp_info_len;
}
rsp_info_len is a 32-bit value taken directly from the target's FCP
response (sf.rsp_data_len), while par_sense_len is the IOCB data area
size (28 bytes for 24xx, 60 bytes for 29xx). A hostile or buggy target
reporting an rsp_info_len larger than par_sense_len makes the unsigned
subtraction underflow to a huge value and advances sense_data out of
bounds.
The underflowed par_sense_len then defeats the cap in
qla2x00_handle_sense():
if (sense_len > par_sense_len)
sense_len = par_sense_len;
memcpy(cp->sense_buffer, sense_data, sense_len);
so the memcpy reads up to SCSI_SENSE_BUFFERSIZE bytes from the
out-of-bounds sense_data pointer, leaking adjacent response-ring/heap
memory into the command's sense buffer.
Clamp rsp_info_len to par_sense_len before the subtraction so
par_sense_len can never underflow and sense_data stays within the IOCB
data area. The fix sits before the comp_status switch, covering both
qla2x00_handle_sense() call sites. |
A heap-based out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in Foxit PDF Editor/Reader’s handling of malformed PDF image masks. Inconsistent image metadata may cause incorrect alpha-channel processing during rendering, resulting in an out-of-bounds read and application crash.
Out-of-bounds read in Windows OLE DB allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network.
A flaw was found in GStreamer gst-plugins-good (avidemux). In gst_avi_demux_riff_parse_vprp(), the number of available gst_riff_vprp_video_field_desc entries is calculated by dividing the remaining buffer size by the attacker-controlled vprp->fields value, rather than by sizeof(gst_riff_vprp_video_field_desc). This can cause the parser to treat more field descriptors as available than fit in the input buffer, resulting in out-of-bounds reads. Processing a crafted AVI via playbin/decodebin can crash the application (denial of service). Fixed upstream in gst-plugins-good 1.28.6 (GStreamer-SA-2026-0072).
A Zabbix administrator is able to read out of bounds memory by utilizing a flaw in script item/preprocessing (JavaScript) HttpRequest logic, leading to potential confidentiality loss.
Out-of-bounds read in Storage Port Driver allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
rustls-webpki through 0.103.12 (and 0.104.0-alpha releases before 0.104.0-alpha.7) contains a reachable panic in bit_string_flags() in src/der.rs. The input guard fails to reject a named-bit BIT STRING whose content is exactly [0x00] (zero padding bits and no data bytes), so raw_bits.len() - 1 underflows on the empty slice and the subsequent index operation panics (subtract-with-overflow in debug, index-out-of-bounds in release). The condition is reachable through the public API BorrowedCertRevocationList::from_der() when a CRL contains an issuingDistributionPoint extension with such an onlySomeReasons value. Exploitation requires an application that explicitly opts in to CRL revocation checking by passing RevocationOptions to verify_for_usage() and that parses CRL bytes obtained from a source the attacker can influence; the default rustls configuration, which does not use RevocationOptions, is unaffected. A crafted CRL causes a denial of service via the panic. Fixed in 0.103.13 and 0.104.0-alpha.7.
A flaw was found in libssh. During server-side GSSAPI key exchange, a client-supplied Curve25519 public key shorter than the expected length is copied without proper length validation, leading to an out-of-bounds heap read. This could allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to disclose small amounts of server memory.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, FreeRDP H.264 decoder backends can return YUV planes sized from the bitstream without comparing the decoded width and height to the RDPGFX surface dimensions used to validate region rectangles. A malicious RDP server can provide an AVC420 or AVC444 bitstream whose decoded frame is smaller than the negotiated surface, causing yuv420_context_decode and the YUV-to-RGB conversion paths to read beyond the decoder-owned planes in libfreerdp/codec/h264.c and the selected H.264 backend. This can disclose client memory or crash the client. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, the glyph_cache_get function in libfreerdp/cache/glyph.c checks whether index is greater than cache->number instead of greater than or equal to it. A malicious RDP server can use GLYPH_FRAGMENT_USE replay in update_process_glyph_fragments to make the default cache receive index 254 when cache->number is 254, reading one pointer beyond the entries array and dereferencing it as a glyph. This can crash the client and may disclose adjacent heap data. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0.
| Imager versions from 0.45_02 before 1.035 for Perl read outside the EXIF block via unchecked start offsets in tiff_load_ifd.
tiff_load_ifd() validates an IFD entry's data by checking that `entry->offset + entry->size` stays within the EXIF block, and never checks the start offset itself. Where that sum is not the real end of the data, the check passes with the entry starting outside the block.
Through 1.032 `entry->offset` is a plain int, so on the usual two's-complement implementations an offset with the high bit set converts to negative and the sum can land back inside the block. From 1.033 the field is a size_t and the addition wraps only where size_t is 32 bits. The IFD's own start offset is checked the same way and wraps where unsigned long is 32 bits, which includes 64-bit Windows.
Any caller of Imager->read() on an attacker-supplied image may receive EXIF tags holding bytes from outside the block, or crash the process. |
Out-of-bounds Read vulnerability in RTI Connext Professional (Core Libraries) allows Overread Buffers. This issue affects Connext Professional: from 7.4.0 before 7.7.0.1, from 7.0.0 before 7.3.1.6, from 6.1.0 before 6.1.*, from 6.0.0 before 6.0.*, from 5.3.0 before 5.3.*, from 5.2.0 before 5.2.*, from 5.0.0 before 5.1.*.

LibreOffice can import WMF graphics, which may be embedded in documents. A heap buffer overflow existed when importing a text record that carries its own character advance widths. The count of advance values and the length of the text were read separately from the file and were not required to agree, so drawing the text walked the advance array by character position and ran past its end when the array was the shorter of the two. In fixed versions an advance array shorter than its text is ignored.
LibreOffice Draw can import PDF documents. A heap buffer overflow existed when importing a stream object. The length of the stream was taken from the object's own dictionary and was not checked against the number of bytes actually present, so copying the stream read and wrote past the end of the buffer holding it. In fixed versions the declared length is clamped to the bytes actually read.
LibreOffice can import PICT images, which may be embedded in documents. An out of bounds read existed when importing an image that uses a colour palette. The palette index held in the image data was used without being checked against the number of entries the palette has, so an index past the last entry read memory outside the palette. In fixed versions the palette index is limited to the entries present.
Transient DOS when processing unverified data from a neighboring system causes out of bound memory access.
