NVIDIA GPU Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer, where an unprivileged regular user can cause a NULL-pointer dereference, which may lead to denial of service.
CVE-2023-31022 8 Canonical, Citrix, Linux and 5 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Hypervisor, Linux Kernel and 6 more 2025-02-27 5.5 Medium
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer, where a NULL-pointer dereference may lead to denial of service.
CVE-2023-0179 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 15 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 12 more 2025-02-19 7.8 High
A buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Netfilter subsystem in the Linux Kernel. This issue could allow the leakage of both stack and heap addresses, and potentially allow Local Privilege Escalation to the root user via arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2024-5493 3 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Google 3 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Chrome 2025-02-13 8.8 High
Heap buffer overflow in WebRTC in Google Chrome prior to 125.0.6422.141 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2023-32629 1 Canonical 2 Ubantu Kernel, Ubuntu Linux 2025-02-13 7.8 High
Local privilege escalation vulnerability in Ubuntu Kernels overlayfs ovl_copy_up_meta_inode_data skip permission checks when calling ovl_do_setxattr on Ubuntu kernels
CVE-2023-2612 1 Canonical 1 Ubuntu Linux 2025-02-13 4.4 Medium
Jean-Baptiste Cayrou discovered that the shiftfs file system in the Ubuntu Linux kernel contained a race condition when handling inode locking in some situations. A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service (kernel deadlock).
CVE-2023-1786 3 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Redhat 4 Cloud-init, Ubuntu Linux, Fedora and 1 more 2025-02-13 5.5 Medium
Sensitive data could be exposed in logs of cloud-init before version 23.1.2. An attacker could use this information to find hashed passwords and possibly escalate their privilege.
CVE-2018-19873 5 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 2 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Backports and 3 more 2025-02-11 9.8 Critical
An issue was discovered in Qt before 5.11.3. QBmpHandler has a buffer overflow via BMP data.
CVE-2023-1326 1 Canonical 2 Apport, Ubuntu Linux 2025-02-07 7.7 High
A privilege escalation attack was found in apport-cli 2.26.0 and earlier which is similar to CVE-2023-26604. If a system is specially configured to allow unprivileged users to run sudo apport-cli, less is configured as the pager, and the terminal size can be set: a local attacker can escalate privilege. It is extremely unlikely that a system administrator would configure sudo to allow unprivileged users to perform this class of exploit.
CVE-2022-2084 1 Canonical 2 Cloud-init, Ubuntu Linux 2025-02-05 5.5 Medium
Sensitive data could be exposed in world readable logs of cloud-init before version 22.3 when schema failures are reported. This leak could include hashed passwords.
CVE-2019-9516 12 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 9 more 24 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 21 more 2025-01-14 6.5 Medium
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to a header leak, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker sends a stream of headers with a 0-length header name and 0-length header value, optionally Huffman encoded into 1-byte or greater headers. Some implementations allocate memory for these headers and keep the allocation alive until the session dies. This can consume excess memory.
CVE-2019-14907 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more 2025-01-14 6.5 Medium
All samba versions 4.9.x before 4.9.18, 4.10.x before 4.10.12 and 4.11.x before 4.11.5 have an issue where if it is set with "log level = 3" (or above) then the string obtained from the client, after a failed character conversion, is printed. Such strings can be provided during the NTLMSSP authentication exchange. In the Samba AD DC in particular, this may cause a long-lived process(such as the RPC server) to terminate. (In the file server case, the most likely target, smbd, operates as process-per-client and so a crash there is harmless).
CVE-2019-9513 12 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 9 more 25 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 22 more 2025-01-14 7.5 High
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to resource loops, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker creates multiple request streams and continually shuffles the priority of the streams in a way that causes substantial churn to the priority tree. This can consume excess CPU.
CVE-2019-19344 4 Canonical, Opensuse, Samba and 1 more 7 Ubuntu Linux, Leap, Samba and 4 more 2025-01-14 6.5 Medium
There is a use-after-free issue in all samba 4.9.x versions before 4.9.18, all samba 4.10.x versions before 4.10.12 and all samba 4.11.x versions before 4.11.5, essentially due to a call to realloc() while other local variables still point at the original buffer.
CVE-2018-7184 5 Canonical, Netapp, Ntp and 2 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Cloud Backup, Steelstore Cloud Integrated Storage and 7 more 2025-01-14 N/A
ntpd in ntp 4.2.8p4 before 4.2.8p11 drops bad packets before updating the "received" timestamp, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (disruption) by sending a packet with a zero-origin timestamp causing the association to reset and setting the contents of the packet as the most recent timestamp. This issue is a result of an incomplete fix for CVE-2015-7704.
CVE-2018-7185 6 Canonical, Hpe, Netapp and 3 more 23 Ubuntu Linux, Hpux-ntp, Hci and 20 more 2025-01-14 7.5 High
The protocol engine in ntp 4.2.6 before 4.2.8p11 allows a remote attackers to cause a denial of service (disruption) by continually sending a packet with a zero-origin timestamp and source IP address of the "other side" of an interleaved association causing the victim ntpd to reset its association.
CVE-2019-9514 13 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 10 more 44 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 41 more 2025-01-14 7.5 High
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to a reset flood, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker opens a number of streams and sends an invalid request over each stream that should solicit a stream of RST_STREAM frames from the peer. Depending on how the peer queues the RST_STREAM frames, this can consume excess memory, CPU, or both.
CVE-2017-5753 14 Arm, Canonical, Debian and 11 more 396 Cortex-a12, Cortex-a12 Firmware, Cortex-a15 and 393 more 2025-01-14 5.6 Medium
Systems with microprocessors utilizing speculative execution and branch prediction may allow unauthorized disclosure of information to an attacker with local user access via a side-channel analysis.
